the decision of the ICC not granting recognition to ICL is a welcome decision....the ICL was set up not t promote cricket (whatever Kapil dev says!) but out of greed of ZEE TV's Subhas Chandra because he lost the bidding war for the TV rightsof BCCI. so he created ICL and took all washed up and discarded cricketers (but there are some good one too) and appointed officials like KIran More (who only know to do politics rather than selection as was seen when he was the national selector) to run it the result a flop show. whatever they may brag but ICL was not as successful as the IPL which is great because there one sees real cricket.

They are not in a position to start business of Chole Batore.... Their ICL will rule the cricket world. It is now matter of time to get Recognition and then...........
If BCCI can afford to have 8 IPL clubs than whay can't INDIA have 2 clubs-BCCI & ICL. It is pure politics that ICL is being crushed. It will be a mockery of our democracy if ICL is not given equal status that of BCCI. Govt must intervene and help ICL get its due recognition. At the same time govt should not take over the game as it will lead to corruption and poor selection like in other games. May be Cricket is the only game where we have been able to make a mark in the world map as govt is not involved.

I am totally opposing your comments. IPL means Incapable Paralysed League. There are lots of young, talented good cricketers in ICL as we have seen all the matchs. Long live ICL....We are with you Mr. Kapil Dev and your ICL..Go ahead.....

BCCI can now claim that it is the world body running cricket. ICC has become toothless. BCCI is able to threaten everybody and it is only for this reason ICL is not being given recognition. People who have ICL matches would agree that it was more competitive and the youngsters who play for ICL are far more superior than IPL youngsters. It is only the ego clash that is depriving ICL the recognition. BCCI is not a sporting body but unsportive body.
Its obvious ICC has acted on pressure from outside source.All know the money and power of the BCCI.Frankly speaking ICL is indeed a stepping stone for many youngsters.Those talented youngsters who do not get selected into the Indian team, then where do they go.It has also become very obvious agents of players are the main people and not talent.You have a proper agent and money to back up,your team seat is booked and not your talent.This is what is actually happening in reality.
Everyone know ICL is joke and its has a puer commercial intension. Best solution is BAN ICL, release all players and let them play for their state and national teams. These players have already wastes their 2 years.

Sorry Mr. Bharat R. For people like U, ICL might b a joke, but for others IPL is purely a Joke, circus...... ICL first started T20 and then BCCI copied/xerox it with their own name as IPL and put huge amount of Black Money into it. The people associated with BCCI/IPL never played cricket in their life whereas the players who brought GLORY to India in 1983 by winning the World Cup are with ICL. so how can one deny the TRUTH? We are fully supporting the ICL.... Long live ICL....

Lalit modi has first proposed the IPL concept in 1996 but BCCI rejected it saying that it will badly affect domestic cricket. When ICL was in formation BCCI has requested it not to proceed but they did. In return BCCI showed them its real power and now ICL is crushed. You can not win against a Richest and powerful rasc*l.
