If Sachin does not retire with a batting average of atleast 58 then all his statistics would be gone waste considering the fact that he playing so many test matches. He needs to develop strong perseverence and temperament to play long innings consistently like Gambir,Sehwag, ponting, lara ability to score two hundreds in a test match etc.

I have visited London Wax museum and looking at this specific snap, I get a feeling that Sachin's Wax figure does not give a feeling of seeing the actual person. There are some statues in the museum that are amazingly closer to the personality(Tiger Woods, Amitabh, SRK, Diana, Leonardo Dicaprio etc.,). This particular photo posted on this page gives me an impression that this structure has not been among the best in the museum. I could be wrong. The actual figure may be much better than what we see in this photo.

I totally agree with you. I had been to Wax museum as well and had seen so many more mimicking like actual, but Tendular;s does not really match. Probably the focus is to glorify cricket (showing bat, pads, helmat etc) and also the expression on the face are not real.
A bit disappointed but then the good thing is that they have recognized the personna of the great man.
Wow,it can only happen in india....instead of being proud they are hurling abuses and dampning the great occassion.... but i am sure all those who criticize sachin here must have never ventured out of "gully cricket" playing with tennis balls...

For the ones who doesnt know about S, of Sachin..You never know whats in the heart of a genius. For the past seven years, our very own Sachin Tendulkar has been involved in social service and charity without the knowledge of the press! What a greatness!
Sachin Tendulkar just revealed that he had been involved with Apnalaya in Mumbai since the last seven years, and he sponsors 200 kids every year for their schooling and tuition. We would never have come to know about this - he had to disclose this because he wanted other people to join in the noble cause and by revealing his little secret, it would be as a source of geniune inspiration to everyone! No wonder, this guy has shown his mettle in almost every aspect of his life...his face has always reflected decency at the same time (controlled ) agression, sportsmanship, humility, patriotism (he is one player who really plays to make India win!), and now KINDNESS AND HUMANITY!!! India is proud of Sachin, its little gem! ’’there are many more facts about this living legend...
Its amazing, and ridiculous, that we have kids like Salman and Aishwariya standing at Tussauds, but not our old greats like Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Sunil Gavaskar, etc, etc.
Re: Why not Dev Anand and Other greats?

The reason being tha Tussad's continuously keeps on changing the statues depending on the popularity and recall of the same. I remember there was a Benazir Bhutto, Indira Gandhi, Brian Lara statue a few years ago, but it was subsequently removed. In fact, for those personalities that continue to be at the museum, there are modifications to the statue brough about to reflect aging, wrinkels etc. most noticably in the case of the British Queen and other members of the British Royal family.

You are absolutely right. Rahul Dravid has won/saved matches for India. Sachin for all his greatness has still not been able to do so. This will remain the biggest blot on his career. He himself along with his fans too knows it. Truth as they say is always bitter.

Becoz these figures are being made up of wax....and that of advani's should be made up of not wax but 'loh' (iron)....he can be the first figure in any museum which portrays any figures made of 'iron' in future...

whats the use of being in the museum? the place will only get dusted and forgotten. wax statues is no use.. atleast they couldve made in some broze or steel.
