Its high Time that Govt. stops giving preferential treatment to this entertainment called IPL. Tax this event and use the Fund generated through this in improving Sports facilities accross India. Specially create Stadias and Academies for Sports persons and help them giving Scholorships and providing them World class facilities. This so called IPL is nothing But Bussiness of cricket and every Re generated through it should be taxed heavily just as any other Bussiness is Taxed and funds accrued should be used for creating world Class facilities for poor Rural and Slum dewellers living near Urban hahitaes Tax all the Crickters for thier Income without any relaxation. hope people will support and raise this so that we really can get bebefit from this Bussiness of Cricket for betterment Of India. Come on Friends use this media and lets start a pressure group for taxing it so that funds can be used as per our wishes.

You are absolutely right Mr. Agarwal. Govt. should impose heavy tax on such commercial events spent out of ordinary peoples' money and time.

IF BCCI is not a govt. body then Govt. should tax the income generated. This is like multiplexes are not under entertainment tax but single screen theatres are taxed heaviliy.
