Many people criticize Sachin as not being a match-winner, esp in tournament finals. I would like to provide some important statistics about him. And yes, I am serious.
In 38 finals played, Sachin has scored 5 centuries and 10 half-centuries, averaging 53, as compared to his carrer average of 44.
Out of the 38 finals, India have won 15 of them. All his 5 centuries, and 5 of his 10 half-centuries in finals, have come in these 15 matches only. The average is completely out of anyone's imagination, it's Bradmansque 99.90
Can't have such moronic statistics.. for a test match. Just so that people can start abusing Dravid. Any sane person with cricketing brains will understand that this statistics is useless without bringing in the context of the match.
I wish Sachin Tendulkar must have to play 1000 One Day Internationals & 300 test matches. So that noone can breach the records made by him in near term. Even Yuvraj Singh, Ricky Ponting, Chris Gayle, K. Sangkkara, Gautam Gambhir & V. Sehwag also can not overtake him. Due to retirement possibility of overtaking by Saurav Ganguly already finished.
Once Mahesh Manjrekar called living legend Sachin as White elephant in the team. He too is there in New Zeland to witness Sachin's performance. He should be hanged for trying to malign the image of Sachin. This was attempted some time back by Imran Khan by saying 'He is not match winner'. Javed Miandad was saying in Sachin's initial days that 'boys like Sachin plays in every gully of Pakistan'. He use to say Inzmam is 100 times bettter than Sachin.
Now Manjrekar who is host of Ten Sports which telecast all matches from pakistan has spent most of his time among these guys was trying to become famous in Pakistan by criticizing Sachin. Its good slap on Majrekars face. Infact he should be kicked publicly before hanging openly.

Sure.. Ryder has taken 2 wickets as well. But before deciding the MoS, the fact that India winning series 2-0 (assumption) would come to the mind, and that will make Sachin the MoS, in case both are equally good. But let's see what happen in the last two innings of the test
Whatever people say, whatever is their opinion, according to me SACHIN TENDULKAR is the greatest batsman, the world cricket has seen. He can't be compared with anyone. 80% of people support sachin. Only 20% people who don't have the knowledge of cricket won't support him. EAST OR WEST SACHIN IS THE BEST

so u expect individual to win world cups for you in a team game. His performance in world cup 96, 99, 03 have been fantastic. But you need atleast 6 consistent performers in a team to win big tournaments like that.In 2003 we dominated every team except against australia. But as Master said, the current team is the best that he has ever played with. Hence if this team plays with current form and carries momentum till 2011 india can truimph again after 28 years.

Right back at you Kishor (and you need to clean your mouth out with soap besides). Whatever Sachin is, and he is certainly one of the best, if not *the* best batsman ever, he is NOT God. He is stupendous, amazing, fantastic... in fact there aren't enough words to express how he makes his fans and even opponents feel when he's on song. But, once again, he's NOT God. In this I agree 100% with chatter, even though he does seem to have a regrettable tendency to SHOUT.
It is people like *you*, Kishor, who put undue pressure on the Man called Sachin. Ask him and he'll be the first in line to say that he is nowhere near God. He is reportedly quite devout. Do you think he needs to go to a temple if he himself is God? If you still have doubts, next time you have a religious ceremony at home (maybe you getting married or your kids etc.), try telling the priest to invoke Sachin's name in place of God's throughout. Then see the looks and words you get from everyone around, including your own family members. So stop talking crap my friend.
Instead, have a sense of perspective and stop elevating your idols/icons to a point from which their inevitable fall will be far greater (at which point possibly people like you will be the first to spit on them as well).
Sachin Tendulkar is a gift to India and Indian cricket, and we're all thankful and should enjoy the time he has left in which to entertain us, but stop calling him God. NOBODY deserves that tag, however great they may be.

Let people say "f u" to someone who says Sachin is not God - Sorry, no can do. All I did was defend the cause of free speech and chatter's Constitutional right to it. You have a problem with that and not with Kishor mouthing rubbish? Amazing.
