India has got batsmen of different extremes. sehwag and yuvraj rout the opponent's bowlers by thrashing the ball out of the field again and again repetedly.
but on the other end players like rahul dravid rout the opponents bowling by keeping the ball within the pitch and staying as a wall and burning every sweat out of the bowler.

It is unfortunate that Dravid has not been given the respect deserved. It is amazing that people still consider him not fit for ODI's. The fact is that his average, strike rate, aggregate and even results as a captain in ODI is comprable to his more illustrious team mate Ganguly... Yet Ganguly, who has the benefit of batting when the fielding restricitons are on is considered one of the great ODI players.

I can never imagine a player wicket keeping for his country, what a selfless player he is coz he didn't need to he was averaging more than 43 in the last 2 years in ODI's.I think we would never get such a determined and a committed player again.(He is 4th in the list of total runs in cricket i.e tests ODIs).

Easy! Rediff not mentioning Dravid does not mean anything for him getting his worth. Enough fans out there. This discussion itself proves the point.

wat abt laxman? neither does he hav the fan followong nor does he have the support from north indian legacy of bcci....a man who has the avg on par with the best in indian line up play for the position even after 10 years of career in cricket. during the recent stats...everybody forgot abt the laxman's 219 runs scored at crucial juncture in both innings. and not to forget his series saving innings of the aussie match. though it stands the top score after follow on....it hasnt got enough respect as in the case of dravid who was equally part of that momentous knock!
India shuld add the quality players like devang gandhi, nikil chopra, vijay dahiya, sunil joshi, vijay bhardwaj these players more talented than current players in team india..

Offcource India should make a team including all above vaterans players, But not as International Indian cricket team. Your team can play charity maches with other team of vaterans...

Rediff as usual is the most hopeless site ever .. copies news from cricinfo, practically the whole frontpage is full of rubbish and not at all interesting . Hey rediff .. ever heard of Web 2.0 ?
