It is the fact that the Art of Leaving basic course and Advance course are stress busters and makes one cool, cam and smiling happy thought his/her life.

Before i joined coures 3 years backthen i was 33 yrs and i was suffering from severe low back, freezing of joints, sinus and frequently getting infected to climate change and water change due to my hectic travel schedule.

Bust since last 3 years i have seen almost all the above mentioned simptons vainsh by practicing simple breathing technique daily for 15-20 minutes irrespective of my traveling schedule and business meetings.

I will sugggest all the young people to enroll themselves to the near by AOL center and see the change themselves.

Last but not the least i want to thank Sri Sri for giving such a valuable gift to this entire world.

Jai Gurudev.

Why the claims are tall
by aficionado on Apr 02, 2009 10:26 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Following is the most important Q&A out of the above:

QUOTE:

"Q: So you mean to say breathing techniques can you help over come mental trauma?

A: Yes, most definitely. In our day-to-day life we are experiencing that our breath pattern and emotions are connected. For example, if you are very happy, inhalation is prominent; if you notice it is deep inhalation, like you are enjoying the fragrance of a flower. When you are sad, exhalation is prominent, like sometimes you say a deep sigh. And when you are angry you can notice fast breathing.

So it is very clear that breath pattern and our emotions are connected. But, as of now, it is one-way traffic or a one-way street, like when you have different emotions you have different breath patterns.

But you have to make it a two-way street where using different breath patterns you can handle the mind and emotions." UNQUOTE

I fully agree that feelings and emotions affect our breathing pattern and cause harmonal changes etc. leading to certain effects on our body.

Consequently I fully agree that in order to improve our health and fitness we need to control our breathing pattern.

But my question is, does one change one's feelings and emotions by changing the breathing pattern or is it vice versa?

If saner counsel prevails, none can say that one can change one's emotions by changing one's breathing pattern.

QED: Learning breathing exercises or any kind of kriya is a waste of time and energy.

Just be indifferent to negative, hateful posts. Those who're spreading hatred are either ignorant or may have some malicious intent. Let them remain ignorant because everyone has right to be ignorant. They will surely come out of their ignorance at a right time. You all have much bigger responsibility to fulfill. The world needs you, your unconditional smile and service. Dont bother about anything else. If you go on answering them individually then they become more rigid in their attitudes and opinions and spread more hatred. You know what you've got, so no need to convince or justify anything to anybody.

Bottomline, respond only if someone is willing to listen.

Its answer is Yes. By doing it daily, you will develop a mindset, which is more tolerant. Once you reach that, your life will change, since most of our problems are occured due to our way of reactions to situations.

Dear Mr. rg v,

Breathing is associated with body and you can regulate the body by regulating your breathing.

Mindset, feelings, emotions are associated with the mind and mind cannot be controlled or channelised by SIMPLY or JUST controlling or regulating the body.

I am well aware and appreciate sayings like "Sound mind in a sound body" "an ke prabhav man me (meaning food has an effect on the human mind)".

But these things are and work at two different levels. By exercises, breathing control or pranayam, good food, good company, reading good books etc. you CAN ONLY CREATE A CONDUCIVE ATMOSPHERE in which the MIND IS ENABLED TO ACT SOUNDLY.

But beyond creating such a conducing atmosphere, what? A big blank or familiar do's and don'ts, is there anything more that you learn from physical yogasanas (confused by even highly educated with yoga), pranayam etc.?

You need an infinitely better Teacher to teach you how to control your thoughts and thereby your mind. Be sincerely on the look out for such a Teacher and your quest is bound to be fulfilled sooner than later.

Seedhi baath, baaki sab bakwaas!

Sanatana, Ananda and the Rest!
by Chris on Apr 02, 2009 09:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is no way one can convince a mind that is not open. These people have so many questions and do not wish to know the answers.
Sri Sri is a person who wears only Dhotis and angavastrams. He is not wearing designer clothes or watches or the like. He does not eat lavishly, simple food, nuts, fruits etc. He travels in Business Class. Most of it is due to frequent flier miles, logical because he has to go to 140 countries every year and he travels frequently. He is always cheerful and that after a punishing schedule. Someone talked of people working in fields etc. How many of us here have done that? Nevertheless, there is a lot of hard work done by people like Swami Sadjyotha, who have given up good lifestyles to work for Guruji.
Whether we like it or not, AOL is here to stay and millions are benefiting from it. Paying Rs 1000/- or 1500/- is a matter of choice, and only those who see value in it pay for it. There have been courses done for as low as Rs 200/- and some free. Point is if you feel that you cannot afford the course fee, please go to the center and say so. They will gladly accommodate you. As for other movements, there may be some negatives. While I love going to the Hare Krishna temple, some negatives may exist there as well. Nothing will take away, the good that they are doing. AOL may have some negatives but please see the other side of the coin and appreciate the good as well.

AOL

it was interesting to read the comments by all..

I did art of living course back in 1999 and that time the week course fee was 600 Rs.

I went there as one of my friend who is a AOL teacher now told me that as such I donot need to go but if I am free then just go..

I went there and it will be a lie if I say that I didn’t enjoyed the course..

friends like exercise, yoga, meditation this AOL is good when u will practice it continuously and with all the good faith..

my friends who did this course and continued to stick to practice are advocating the course with full sprit .. during my course I met people who joined the course with suspicion but in due time they become hard core follower.

I will say it is matter of faith only..

I did the course but didn’t continued the practice and thus cannot blame AOL if I missed the real thing..

in one of the comment section i saw someone mentioned the 'staged' question answer session.. I feel the same when i attended one big gathering of sri ravishankar in bangalore.

Kuldeep,

It was me who commented it was a "staged" Q& A session. It was in Atlanta at the new BAPS temple.Out of the 15 questions,12 were from his devotees. They were cheering even before Ravi Shankar explained the answers, which were wierd anyway. For any student of vedanta those were absurd and contradictory answers. It is as though he was preaching his own cult.Anyway I am not against him nor his organization but I am against people who exploit public and loot money in the name of yoga and say it is charity.

Why they flock to USA to leech onto the dollars, every damn organization now a days starts some form of yoga and puts up centers in USA and fleeces money.

If Ravi Shankar is honest let him solve the issues of forcible conversions.Ask him to fight for the cause of Hindus, ask him to stop the minority appeasement of the government.Ask him to do service and teach yoga or breathing freely to one and all.If his dharma is strong then people will definitely contribute for the right cause.Ask him to stop raising funds in USA.
