An average player brought up in Kolkata but but probably guided by people who are not prepared to take risk as the Bengal/ Calcutta public will surly force him to accommodate some one from this region whatever be the credentials. They could put the blame on him .Gopal has played tests and should have come as East zone selector

Raja Venkat?? Dude, it is Venkatapathy Raju, the spinner who played for India. I think it is a typo, rediff plz check before posting news.

mr prasad ur confused, they say raja venkat from west not from south, they alway ignore south, bangalore is the it capital of india and pays 39% of the total tax income of our country

Mr SK - u r totally wrong. Srikkant is fm south so there won't be 2nd person fm same zone which is fair.
Anyway don't show your ignorance of the facts and make biased comments abt North/South. Srikanth is from South, Kumble captain is fm south, there were times when majority of Karnataka team playing for India.
Don't blame selectors if Badhrinath fm TN don't get selected - he failed to use the opportunity as do Kaif.
Don't think paying tax is criteria - If our country focussed on farmers/agriculture, we would not have the crisis we r going thru.
