GREG CHAPPEL SWITHING SIDE
by damodaran mohan on Sep 25, 2008 08:10 PM

The sudden switching of Guru Greg from the RCA(Indian) side to Australia looks somewhat curious. It may or may not give any great advantage to team Australia vis-a-vis India. But to doubting thomases may find the switch just before start of the series against 'game ethics' because he can be a convenient middle man between BCCI and CA to fix matches, individual performances etc. This is not to suggest any such intentions but any such transfer should not create doubts in minds. ICC's Vigilance wing should keep strict watch during the progress of the Test series.

good to hear from you michael
what an amazing cricketer he is, averaging 69 in tests, 58 in odis with great strike rates and is a great fielder and a shy, humble, polite, soft-spoken gentleman
wonder what would have happened to him had he been an indian(can u imagine the hype he would have got in our country here in india coz he such a great cricketer and as that complete bimbo mandira bedi, said a very very good looking guy?)
aussie might be a bit brash on the field(so are so many champions, woods, manu u, schumi before, etc.)but michael is not brash at all

If he was in Indian he cudn't have continued this great average bcoz of the huge pressure exerted by the fans and the media.Every player wud go through a slump period and he is still to pass that test.I am sure he wudnt be continuing with this average if he plays for another 5-6 years.

its not pressure, its hype and when he ends his career, he will average over 60 in tests and over 40 in odis
