Gavaskar without fear fixed matches which can be seen from the way he played during his days...moreover to support this he was caught red handed with unaccountable foreign currency which he had hidden in his "locker at Bombay Gymkhana"...he got away due to his political connections and poor Azharuddin was made the scape goat..(am not saying that Azhar was innocent).............

First of all rediff has to to close this discussion part on each page. It gives nothing but a platform to show off hatred of one community people against another.
Definately a very classic batsman and a excellent fielder and probably the most intelligent captain. Only MS Dhoni can come close. Very sad how his career ended. Got involved with criminals.

Here is an Hyerabadi supporting a national traitor. And what a joke to call him class batmen who show his back against pace bowlers - his record in SA/Aus/WI will speak.
Intelligent captain ? Are u joking ? how many matches as he won abroad ? U hv to be loyal being hyderabadi but not to this extent.
Maybe he was the greatest match fixer India produced which u can be proud of!
