Tendulkar's diminishing returns
by terence Mandle on Nov 10, 2008 02:45 PM  | Hide replies

He has for the apst 5 years feared failure moret than hungered for success.

His desire to justify his brand lifespan have caused him to become a pale shadow of his former greatness, which is a pity because he still had it in him to dominate the pitches of world cricket.

Wish he gives us one last real flourish in his real style without worrying about failure or that his sponsors will disappear.

that would be a fitting way for him to bow out - it is getting sad and painful watching him play like a vengsarkar.

Wat Happnd man? See who played best in the crucial times. It's Tendulkar = 10dulkar.
He is alone enough for 10 guys of a team.
And to just refresh all your's memory, it's b'coz of he, we won 1 day series in Australia bcoz of his century & 90 in the first & second final.

So Who's the winner ????????????/

UNDOUBTEDLY TENDULKAR..............

in hindi we say "mara hua hathi bhi sawa crore ka hota hai" same applies to tendulkar. his statistics shows that even after tennis elbow his average is as good as some of the best batsmen (E.g. Clarke).

Sachin and Statstics
by seno jose on Oct 14, 2008 02:25 PM

Who is the best Batsman in the world? There was always competition. In the beginning it was between Sachin and Inzi, then Sachin and Lara, (For a short period of time, Sachin and Mark Waugh) and now its between Sachin and Ponting. Note that in every case there is Sachin. After one year, it may be between Sachin and…some one else. This is the reality and not just the statistics. In 2003, he played only 5 test matches. In 2005 and 2006, he was in between injuries and played 14 matches altogether. If he plays more matches, the things will be different. In 2008, Sachin’s Sattstics are not so good only because of the disaster in Sri Lanka. Just forget it. The picture will be different after this series.

Dr. Seno Jose

I agree his performance has reduced in the last couple of years acc. to your "Statistics". But in the year 2007/08 he has avg. 52 and 42... Now please tell me how many members in the current Indian team has a better avg. than that????

Dear Somebody!
U are talking about MR. Tendulkar! The man who has single handedly rocked the opponents for more than a decade & a half!

It is really sad to see ppl getting in statistics to prove him weak.

Everything sells in the name of Tendulkar... I see that as the only reason to writing this article. No one can question his Talent or try to show that his career is diminishing! No one can reach that level. He is SUPREME!

in your article u conclude by saying "It is best to leave it to him to decide when to call it quits." Then why are you analysing his performance & giving your view??? U are contradicting your own views. What did you wanna convey?

Leave the ACE alone. Indian cricket needs him.

Lies, damn lies and stastitics....!

Ok, let us go by your own stastistics. In 1991 his average was only below 20 and then he had bounced back...in 1995 his average was below 30 and then he had bounced back,in 2003 his average was just 17 and then he had bounced back...nobody denies Sachin is not and cannot be the same as he was 15 years back, but psychologically and temperamentwise, still he is the best....it will be difficult to find the trinity of Rahul, Sachin and Saurav in years to come...
