ground practice

there is nothing great about this winning. It is only ground practice for australian but with lucurative earnings.

It is yet another opportunity to Bangladesh to improve their play and sustain themselves to remain in the panel without getting eliminated.

what does this mean ..australia gets losers series week after week and remain on top of the rankings playing piddly nations like bangladesh and kenya and srilanka and then call themselves world beaters , the moment they get india or south africa against ehm they stutter and scamper home, what this shows is basically if india gets piddly nation tourse every year we can be at the top rankin also , as we have already beaten aus this year all we need is a bangladesh and zimbabwe tour to stay on top, man cricket is handled by people with peanuts for brains , no wonder its hardly even known outside of the subcontinent,....

Please understand first how ICC rankings are computed...visit ICC's website....if Australia beats Bangladesh 3-0, they do not gain any rating points...but if they would have lost even one match or even tied one, they would have lost rating pts.
They are #1 for their consistent peformance against all nations (this includes India as well)....India has managed to beat them only in the CB series whereas last year we lost the ODI series at home to them 4-2.
ICC ratings are every scientific, they take into account quality of opposition, home or away series, etc.
Playing against lower countries does not help countries or players rankings..it can help player's personal records like 100's, runs or wkts.
