High time for Kumble to retire. He bowling 30 overs to get his first wicket. The previous wicket he git was some 88 overs back. Man either you get back afetr being fully fit. Or quit, let some youngster play there.
.I think this match will be a draw..(i wish India win)..but due to Kumble's captaincy and due to Harbhajan's absence..I am not sure..Even though the batsmen have done their job but Bhajji is a kind of bowler who put extra pressure on opposite side ...so lets see.. B/w why dravid and kumble are still in the team??..certainly thr are so many better players then these old time greats..

YOU SHOULD READ THE NEWS BETTER. BHAJJI HAS NOT BEEN KEPT OUT HE IS NOT FIT AS HE HAS AN INJURY TO HIS TOE. DONT SHOOT YOUR MOUTH OFF WITHOUT KNOWING THE FACTS
Even if one chooses to discount his fielding skills, captaincy skills and the fact that he has won two world cups for his country, Ponting would be in the playing 11 of any team in the world for his batting skills alone.
He is a match-saver, a match-winner, he HIMSELF has rarely been involved with spats and dirty sledging (a little heat is always welcome).
Just cuz the Australians are generally regarded as dirty players, sledgers and whatnot, people are accusing Ponting of things he doesn't deserve.
A little respect, folks. Ponting is an asset to Australia. So much so, the moment India gets Ponting, aussies are on the backfoot instantaneously.
He is their dravid, mr. consistent, their sachin, the record breaker, their ganguly, captain material, their laxman, the stylist.
Kumble, i want to say that you have to quit captaincy of indian test cricket team because right now you have pressure about your poor performance. if you don't quit then india don't get right way winning mode in test matches
His interviews and pre match briefings/tosss etc can cure u of sleeplessness. Even his bowling(medium pace inswingers) are so lacking in imagination unlike bhajji/mishra etc whose got loop,turn,bounce etc. Now even if Sunil joshi had played for 15 yrs and 150 tests, he would have got to 600 wickets. Its about quality my friends,not quantity

Sandeep Kumar's shallow comments show a total lack of cricketing knowledge. (a)He does not seem to know the number of victories Anil Kumble has crafted for India & (b) Sunil Joshi like many Indian spinners was unlucky not to have the 'right' support though he had the right loop & flight plus a beautiful action akin to the legendary Bishen Bedi, not to mention his good fielding & reasonably good ablility with the bat. To write so disparagingly about such fine sportsmen shows how abysmally poor Sandeep Kumar's knowledge about cricket is. Mr. Sandeep, every individual goes thru ups & downs. How would U feel if somebody writes U off when U r not at your best & U know it will just take a little time for U to be back at your best ? These cricketers have done yeomen service for the country / state they represent. Anil Kumble is a gentleman & physically fit criketer & would not play a single day if his body gives him the 'signals' to quit.

Mr.Guest you are absolutely correct. It is better to ignore silly comments from people like sandeep, singh etc who have 0% of cricket knowledge.

sahi baat hain..i truely agree..let Bhajji play for another 10 yr...he will easily overtake kumble....KUmble is a big fluke

Indian cricket traditions are based on wristy batsmen and clever spin bowlers like harbhajan/bedi/prasana etc. Not medium pacers like Kumble, who needs a sandy pich to succeed

yes...Winning most number of MOM for India is also a fluke..taking 10 wickets in an Innings is also a Fluke......Mishars 7 wickets in one match has suddenly made him a better bowler then Kumble.......
tendulkar seems to make a record every game he plays from now on. yesterday just shows how good he is. even a 60% sachin ll b far far better than 200% of any player. he should play until the next worldcup
