unconquerable KOTLA?
by sai vasista on Oct 29, 2008 10:09 AM

well nothing is unconquerable...we conquered the Aussie fortress Perth. then we were raging with fury against the Aussie Cheating Scandal...

now the Aussies were breathing fumes over their being spanked in this series. who knows for how long Kotla might be a fortress...

this match sees both sides pitting everything in their arsenals...this gottabe intresting...

Fab 4 and Kumble
by Raghavan on Oct 29, 2008 08:14 AM

Now a days we see too much talked about Fab4 retirement and Kumble retirement. This kind of thing coming out by emotion does not help any one. India will suffer very badly if fab4 and Kumble retire at a time.
They are not performaing badly. It is only the expectations from them has become so much that their performance by their own standards is lower. But by any standards it is not bad at all!
Today BCCI is strong and richest cricket board in the world [in fact richest sports body in the world]. This is because of some good display by Team India. It would be even bad for BCCI if these 5 retire at once and India fares badly, it could lose the strong grip it has on ICC and world cricket due to its finance power...it may even be pushed towards huge financial loss.

If Kumble fails in Kotla this time!

If Anil fails to get wickets in Kotla this time, and India loses the test match, will Anil play in the last test if Bhajji is fit?

the main problem here is "If" just because he is getting old and not at his peak in last few weeks dosen't mean he should retire and give up the captaincy.

so, what do you think is the criteria for retiring?

do you mean guys who are young and are in good form (like amit mishra) should retire?

Worst Cricketer and Captain - Rahul Dravid
by bob c on Oct 29, 2008 12:42 AM  | Hide replies

I really don't understand why this cricketer in the team. Not performing for more than two years. Having below 35 average but still there in the team.

He has nothing done great to the team just trying to make money with whatever time left in him.

Heyyy Mr. what have MS Dhoni done to the team. Please use your logical sense. Anil Kumble led to Indian victory against experienced Australian side and that too in Perth. In this game Dravid scored the highest 93. Now please tell should Dhoni be not in the team.
