We should not jump to conclusion about team Australia. They are fighters. No doubt in the second test they lost very badly and India did well. Mishra came in as replacement for Kumble. He did well taking 5 wickets in the first innings. But, we should not jump to some conclusion on his class or comparison with Kumble too soon. Remeber the same happened when people spoiled Maninder and SIvaramakrishnan, who were both talented and did well in thier first few tests but with the media and fans hypes, they were lost in the wind.

Author has forgotten the most important final Aussies lost under the Ponting captaincy, i think this was the worst nightmare for all of the Aussies. Nobody expected SA to win this match. But they did it in style.

indian chase only urged DADA to win toss but give batting to pointing in world cup 2003 at johnsberg international gambling hub? dada has made life time blunder by winning toss & fielding first on 23-3-2003 so ye dada hai akkal ka aadhaa. i advice dada to stop fooling around & retire immediately now he does not deserve to play even bangalore test also instead s badrinath will score better dada will always be rememberred for his chutyagiri of winning the toss & fielding first in the final of world cup on 23 march 2003 at johnsberg. the same abusement applies to sachin too even iron man of india sardar wallabhbhai patel said i am iron man but iron got some rust so these fab 5 must respect the law of nature that young replace old & retire after each test so that aussi series will be end of cricketing carreer for fab 5 and new generation will be free to do naked dance as per my own worst case analysis & dhoni's statements but dada do not play any test retire immediately on viewing this comments. dada u will not die hungry if not selected; so give some employement to young genious players who really deserve to play tests like GAUTAM GAMBHIR was unsung hero of tour of lanka as well as mohali mishra is unsung hero of mohali too it is true said LADE SIPAHI NAM SARDAR KA. ponting is a superb player, But to say that he has won more matches than sachin is unfair on sachin's part. Ponting has won more matches becoz he happens to play in a team that has won more matches than india, ponting has played in a team which consists of 2 bowlers who have taken more than 500 wickets, 3 bowlers who have taken more than 250 wickets, whereas tendulkar had only kumble, harbhajan and srinath in his team.Kumble was the only match-winning bowler india had and whenever he bowled well india won and that was mostly in india. Throught the 90's until very recently india did'nt have a genuine fast bowler who could win a match on his own. The real match-winning capabilities of ponting will be tested now as he plays with a depleted bowling attack much like sachin has been playing for all these years. He got a 100 in the first test but australia did'nt win the match, why? becoz their bowling attack was not good enough to take 20 opposition wickets, sachin has been facing a similar kind of problem all his career, so going by the first test's performance of ponting which did'nt yield australia a victory can we say that ponting is not a match-winner, as we so often do in the case of tendulkar. This applies for lara as-well who played in a much weaker side compared to sachin and ponting yet always took the fight to the opposition, so he qualifies as the best test batsmen of this generation followed by dravid, sachin and ponting.

Ponting might consider himself a failure according to his OWN HIGH standards, but still it is much better than our Fab Fours failure to win ONE world cup for India.
