Gilly is absolutely right! He is a true Gentleman!

Hey mate Gilly there is no need to apologies to sachin on the issue. Every one has a right to say the fact...its a free world. Just because India is now becoming economic superpower and Sachin has a much better status in world cricket then you..it doesn't mean that you bend your knees before him and mind you if you are doing because of the hullabaloo around about the matter then mate I must say you are not a TRUE AUSTRALIAN!
The circumstances itself make the little master guilty and you definitely raised the right point! The whole India's pride was at stake at that moment. Sachin was right first that he didn't listen any thing but in the newspaper their was a news that Sharad Pawar talked to him on the whole issue. I can easily figure out what he said to Sachin or moreover ordered Sachin. He told him what is India's stand and Indian masses sentiments are totally against Australia. May be Sachin argued with him that he didn't listen anything but the pressure of telling a lie was too much and really he acted like a weak man!
POOR GUY SACHIN my hart is with him!

You Aussie gentlemen and specially you and your brother Mr Middle Finger Chappel are true Australians who like to use all means to win the game. Mr Middle Finger used his fingers to finger Saurab and robbed India a Great Skipper. He knew the best way to screw India is to remove a tough guy who can Take the Aussie head on. Now this guy Glilly is after Hrabhajan for useless reasons. Hey come on leave it there and go on with the game.

Being an Indian surely we should support sachin but in a more wider sense considering as an human being may be gillys point is right.may be its the toughest decision for sachin to make in his whole life regarding harbhajan issue, its the real test of sachins character in his whole career.and he acted like an ordinary man.

our indian media(so called media)is utter joke in every way, they are no news and all tabloid and they keep influencing the naive public who very very dissapointingly get carried away by the media

has our media got anything to cover apart from cooking up fake feel good factor stories on cricket?the answer is a firm no

even if it is sreesanth and harbhajan vs steve waugh and adam gilchrist, our public will support sreesanth and harbhajan

there is nothing but biasness in india which is why poor gilly got panned

he is such a classy fellow but people in india always look things as us vs them

let us appreciate gilly, he does so much charity work in aus and ind, is always charming and is a no nonsense guy, only a graceful fellow like him would have apolojized for no fault of his what so ever, he is not just a remarkable cricketer but also an outstanding man

Gilly is right about Sachin..its a fact!
by Ian Chappel on Oct 25, 2008 10:04 AM  | Hide replies

Whatever Gilly said about Sachin is right. He really used his reputation in international cricket otherwise why he changed his stand that he 'didn't listen anything'. I'm also not supporting this fact that Sachin had done it alone. In fact we have to understand the circumstances in which Sachin had done that.
In that time when Harbhajan was accused by using racial slur and he has to face the Law the only protection for him was Sachin. At that time Indian Board had taken a STAND before the hearing that they will quit the tour if Harbhajan was declared guilty of racialism. Obviously there was a huge pressure on Sachin to save India's stand and that's why I think Sachin was compelled to say lie. Because before this matter gone worst, every Indian was taking it lightly and even Indian team management was saying "what wrong if Bhajji said Symo 'monkey'..it's infact a huge compliment to him as in our country we worship monkeys!!"

Who would forget the words of Moh. Azahruddin when he said to the Investigating Agency of India (when he was probed about other player's involvement in Match-Fixing). He said famously "why you are probing only my account and behavior…why no body probe about the player on whose marriage party, Indias biggest bookies were guest". I still don't know whether it was just a statement or ways to protect himself!

If Gilly is right then he do not need to call Sachin.

Gilly left Cricket and he left it gracefully because he knew the he don't have much to give to Test team.
So he left it grace fully and leave the way for talented Haddin. Not like your fab four who are despite the beating from all around just shamelessly trying to hang on in the team and obstructing the new talent.

Chhappal babu it is confirmed now that the Aussie are on the way down the hill and are using all means to remain on the top. Middle Finger Chaappal used his methods as a coach to ruin India and those blokes at the BCCI are yet to realise this. Mr Middle Finger was successful to see India knocked out of the World Cup in the prelims itself. He was instrumental in getting a spineless character to lead India. Now that Monkey and his mate Gilly along with you Ian are up to new tricks. Hey Buddy India is taking off and so will our cricket. So have a nice time watching banging you.

Gents,
Sachin is great cricketer as well as a great human being.
He proves his metal in Cricket world.
Shane Warne (Legend of Australia's Cricket) himself salute to Sachin's greatness.
Sachin today the only batsman ever to have been compared with Sir Donald Bradman universally, including by Bradman himself. All worlds proud of him.

Sir Donald Bradman, the Australian great said of Sachin, "He reminds me of myself". He is affectionately known as The Little Master by his adoring fans.
# I saw him playing on television and was struck by his technique, so I asked my wife to come look at him. Now I never saw myself play, but I feel that this player is playing much the same as I used to play, and she looked at him on Television and said yes, there is a similarity between the two... his compactness, technique, stroke production... it all seemed to gel:-->> Sir Donald Bradman.

* The pressure on me is nothing as compared to Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin, like God, must never fail. The crowd always expects him to succeed and it is too much pressure on him -->> Mark Waugh.
*You take Don Bradman away and he is next up I reckon :-->> Steve Waugh.
* He is 99.5 per cent perfect. I'd pay to see him:-->>Viv Richards.
* Technically he stands out as the best because of his ability to increase the pace at will :-->> David Boon.
* There is no shame being beaten by such a great player, Sachin is perhaps only next to the Don :-->> Steve Waugh.
* Sachin is cricket's God:-->> Barry Richards.

Why does BCCI do nothing about this slander on the Indian Team, the Indian Nation. That too coming from a person who is making millions from a job given by BCCI (in IPL). The Hyderabad team management should fire him for whatever it costs them. Or do we Indians continue to be abused from white skinned people. The legacy of the Raj stays on? Do not be tolerant about this stuff. Send a message across so nobody dare repeat this and get away with "" I have been misquoted".Let us see some action instead of rhetoric from all the top guns in BCCI( For the sake of our HONOUR)
