Rohit Sharma did really play well to ensure the victory of his team, India Reds. If one were to go by the views of the commentators in the match, teams batting second face problems in chasing scores of 250 or more, hence the win is quite creditable.

Having said that, one's heart went out for the relatively young / new player Naman Ojha of India Greens, who batted very well till he reached his half century. Lack of experience at this level or anxiety to convert the fifty into a big score (century?) to be noticed by the selectors, made him confused once he neared 80. For some time after he reached 77, he was defending or tapping down most deliveries, unable to score singles too. Then he tried to compensate for this lull by going for a series of big hits to the boundary, resulting in literally throwing away his wicket.

Perhaps a little more guidance from Suresh Raina and a cool head would have seen them both putting on a few more runs, say 20 or so, which would have taken the match to a nail biting finish or a win for India Greens.

Also, Kaif frittered away one more chance much like his former India compatriot Yuvraj in the previous match (India Blues vs. India Reds).

Overall, it is nice to watch youngsters play this shorter version of the game with verve and zeal.
