Even if one chooses to discount his fielding skills, captaincy skills and the fact that he has won two world cups for his country, Ponting would be in the playing 11 of any team in the world for his batting skills alone.

He is a match-saver, a match-winner, he HIMSELF has rarely been involved with spats and dirty sledging (a little heat is always welcome).

Just cuz the Australians are generally regarded as dirty players, sledgers and whatnot, people are accusing Ponting of things he doesn't deserve.

A little respect, folks. Ponting is an asset to Australia. So much so, the moment India gets Ponting, aussies are on the backfoot instantaneously.

He is their dravid, mr. consistent, their sachin, the record breaker, their ganguly, captain material, their laxman, the stylist.

he is Australiaz Fab four. Some respect, guys.

Absolutely true......

He is a class player and we sholud think from the point of view from a player....& not individual behavior....

He does justice to CRICKET...which is justified by his performances...

If anyone today can break Sachin's Record...is Ricky...

Its time where we have to talk cricket and not their individual attributes....everyone has his own nature and style...

We respect Ganguly for taking his shirt out at Lords...coz he had that passion...

Sachin for his elagance....

Dravid for his class...

Azhar for his maturity....

Kapil paaji for his bold decisions....

Steve Waugh for his shrewdness....

Hansie Cronje for his cunning smile...

Warnie for his on field skills....

Gilchrist for his Walk out....

U name anyone all have their own identity...

Lets give respect guys.....

Is Ponting lying

You dont strat worring over rate in the first session of the day. So if Ponting is giving over rate as an excuse it is definitly not correct.
Bret lee if mistreated may go as Shaun Tait's went. Ponting is bloody ruthless and shrood to his own guys. Not like Indian - you keep going even if you fail once or twice. Ponting goes for them if they dont get results, or they have couple of bad games.
Lee is nearly disintegrated and if we dont give him many wickets in Delhi, I am sure he will be packed back and kept out for the 4th match,

INDIA CANNOT LOOSE THE ONE IN DELHI!!!
by D S on Oct 24, 2008 05:47 AM

Kumble should opt out himself for the next match and say he will be back for the last one.

Laxman and Dravid need to firm up OR have someone like Rohit Sharma get back into the team.

Since Aussie are dead serious to beat Indian team, they are watching footage of Indian bowling. Indians cannot slack this time.

Shard Pawar really deserved it. These idiot politicians think they are bigger than players and take center stage when the players have the right to celebrate. Remeber the function after india won the 20-20 world cup and the team was seated in the second row. Sharad Pawar deserved a kick on his ugly butt and a slap on his face, if he has one!

Agree with most parts, except about 'himself has rarely been involved with spats and dirty sledging'. His sledging may not get noticed because he is outdone in this area by his other team mates whom he encourages passively.

History repeating itself

Bevan had an affair with Gilchrist's wife and was dropped from the team.
Hussey has an affair with Brett Lee's wife and he divorced her. Looks like Hussey's days are numbered.

really? where do u get this news from? If that's indeed the case, then Lee's days are numbered, not Hussey's given his dismal form. Its sad - when it rains it pours.
