Guys every one is talking about Australia's down fall just after 1 test loss. No doubt their team is not as good as a team when Mcgrach and Warne was therer it is always difficult to replace champion players like them. But do not underestimate their current team which consist players like ponting, Hussey, Hayden, Lee,clarke,Stuwart clarke(indians were always struggled against him) these players will always find their berth in any world 11 will definetely bounce back and will give a good fight in the remaining part of the series and cricket will be the winner at the end of the tour and i am pretty sure their backup system is not like the Windies.
Even if one chooses to discount his fielding skills, captaincy skills and the fact that he has won two world cups for his country, Ponting would be in the playing 11 of any team in the world for his batting skills alone.
He is a match-saver, a match-winner, he HIMSELF has rarely been involved with spats and dirty sledging (a little heat is always welcome).
Just cuz the Australians are generally regarded as dirty players, sledgers and whatnot, people are accusing Ponting of things he doesn't deserve.
A little respect, folks. Ponting is an asset to Australia. So much so, the moment India gets Ponting, aussies are on the backfoot instantaneously.
He is their dravid, mr. consistent, their sachin, the record breaker, their ganguly, captain material, their laxman, the stylist.

There is NO gray area. Either he is doing sledging or not doing sledging.
He is mixture of fab four... but still Ponting is useless creature. He is shame in the world of cricket because he is liar(claims false catches) and does sledging.

Dude.. Get a LIFE... You know for a fact that he was one of the WORST behaved ON and OFF the field till he became a Captain. Do I need to remind you of the druken spats during Australia's Test series under the captaincy of Steve Waugh? Or is that the sore Australians have a poor memory? And you talking about the Fab Four.. Ponting is a BLOODY cheat, who used a Lead slate in his Bat and you still wanna to claim him being a record breaker. What else can we expect from losers like you who support IDIOTS who claim false catches!!! Ponting is one hell of a rogue who doesnt have a sports man spirit.. DOT!!!! aussie bowlers/batsmen worried after india learned swing bowl in just after 8 over bowling with new bowl, where for them it takes 80 overs. this is one of the reason for them score run at slow pace, below 3 per over

hayden started shining against ind only since 2001 ind tour. till then, he wasnt a permanent member of ausis team. in fact, during 2001, he wasnt in the odi team, but added at the last moment after scoring more than 500 runs in the tour. now it seems, hayden started faltering against ind itself. so may b this is the end of one full circle in hayden's case.
