DHONI'S LEADERSHIP
by aur kaun on Oct 21, 2008 03:20 PM  | Hide replies

DHONI HAS GOOD LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
HE HAS MASTERY IN MOTIVATIONAL TECHNIQUE.

HE CAN GET BEST OUT OF EVERY PLAYER.

BECUASE OF HIS MOTIVATIONAL TALENTS, SACHIN AND GANGULY ALSO PERFORMED WELL

Just see Sachin's batting in First Test - Always struggling and see his batting in Mohai- Difference in approach is obvious - all credit to Dhoni's motivational talent.

Dhoni is CLEVER yet CUNNING. He motivates the team only when he is leading the team. Compare his keeping and batting performances both as captain and as a team member. It clearly shows that he wanted to prove himself as a successful captain but never as a team member. May be he has his own reasons for this.

If he is so great what was he himself doing in first test? did you see his wicket keeping in first test? So motivation etc are useless to mention because Viru, Sachin, Ganguly etc are more matured than Dhoni and always motivated.
I dont mean that he is not good for captaincy but dont tell that his motivation made Sachin and Ganguly or Gambhir play.

At that level of international cricket one's own motivation to perform is what matters and no crpa like MSD motivated and some one else de-motivated etc.

Cmon Man Sachin Tendulkar scored 49 runs in 2nd innngs of Test Match to save the Test Match in Banglore, Do U mean to say that MS DHoni will motivate a player who scored 39 Test hundre'd and 42 ODI hundred's to perform, Dont be blinded OOPS dont be stupid coz blind people are very intelligent...........

sounds like u don't understand cricket or u don't anything in life.
Wake up dude it is transition phase of cricket in India. So we need Dhoni & co.
But people like Sachin , Dravid & Ganguly are performing for last 19 & 12 years respectively(When Dhoni was not even playing cricket).
Lets hope for good of India this winning run will continue.

Giving MoM to the captain of the team is indirectly acknowledging whole team. So Dhoni is right choice. NOw all should share the award and show similar intensity in next test.

Agreed. Apart from winning the crucial toss and making his own contribution with the bat in both the innings, MSD was able to fully utilize the available resources optimally. MSD thoroughly deserves the Man of the Match.

Captain cant do anything until resource (players) perform. Aussie team has won for past 20 years under any captain. And now if they are loosing its not Ponting's fault.

dear dont compare, because if I'll compare Dhoni's batting in first and this test it will be more problematic. And his wicket keeping too was poor. But if he rectified everything in this test to a great level then no problem.

Different rules for different players(Ganguly & Kumble)
by ujjwal on Oct 21, 2008 03:14 PM

Hello all,
sometime Ganguly(Expereince candidate) is compared with young bloods(Kaif, raina and...) and selectors are always show faith on new comers.

Now Amit Mishra showed good performance on his debut.
but selectors are thinking to choose experinced candidate Kumble in next test.

So, Selectors are applying different rules for different players.

India's performance
by sasi on Oct 21, 2008 03:13 PM

It is a Refreshing change in the Indian cricket scenario. I would love to say that, the match was won by a very energetic and spirited team effort. The openers for India played beautifully, which i feel was the main difference between the two sides. After a long time, its happening that the Indian pacers are leading from the front which was not the case few years back. Spin has always been our forte, so need not discuss about it. Regarding man of match, it should have been given to Gambhir or Mishra. Mishra, because it is a perfect batting track and he performed really well as a debutant.

if offered , this time by selection committee headed by other than Vegsarkar...

He renounced it for Kumble. He is likely to go out anyway.. Ganguly is retiring .... Dravid doesnot want it.Dhoni is young

It will be service to nation if he accepts it

What crap Man U lack Cricket knowledge, When Sachin Tendulkar was offered captaincy for ODI's He refused and recommended the name of MS DHoni, When it came to Test Matches the selectors decided to go with Anil Kumble coz MS DHoni was not matured enough..........

India found Killer pace attack.
by hiral joshi on Oct 21, 2008 03:13 PM  | Hide replies

There was a conception that India makes spin track and unleash Kumble, Bhajji etc and won matches but now we can see we have an extremely lethal pace attack. The way Zaheer and Ishant are bowling its really making us proud. For many years Srinath bore the burden alone but now Zaheer got a great company.

Why ru upset that some people are commenting on MOM decision, India won coz of Team effort and almost everyone contributed but why was MOM given to MS DHoni, If they had a stalemate in making a decision they should have given tit to either:

1.Amit Mishra for making a sensational debut and taking 7 wickets.
2.Gauthm Gambhir for scoring his 2nd Test hundred and his 1st against Australia.
3.Viru Sehwag for celebrating his birthday by making 91 runs in 2nd innings.
