With the earlier selectors preferance to Jaffer and few singers in the commentary box and press , Gambhir was always under pressure like VVS. But the new selectors will do well to be Fair and Firm in Selection. What has been the biggest problem with Indian players is consistency . We can never say with a probability of 0.8 that some one will get a sore of 50 or 100.
Greg played to crush many of our cricketers careers. Else we would have seen more of Gambhir's success. Its good that Greg left to confort Indian Crickets success

All the hyderabadis who used to go to bangalore by flight are now using Gareeb Rath. All are scared of travelling 30 kms out of the city to catch a flight. Just GMR has profitted
Guys i totally feel this victory was completely a fluke. i have never seen an australian team collapse like this. may be this series have been already fixed i believe.

Sure. All pakis would always say tht. When you losers are whitewashed by India, it is match fixing. When India wins against Aussies, match fixing. When Pak loses to Bangladesh, bad luck. When Pak loses to Zimbabwe, bad luck. Go and find some new theory.

Your mind's really 'stormed' by 'thunder'.You claim to have never seen a collapsed batting of Australia.Well at last you got to see one in this match and more will follow. So better be aware of such collapses and don't apply your idiotic brain in matters you don't know about

Give credit where it is due dammit. Ponting himself has acknowledged that the aussies were outplayed. All teams collapse -- Even the formidable Lyods windies collapsed at Lords in 1983. The fact that both batting and bowling came good for India deserves acknowledgement. A target of 500 with more than 4 sessions remaining is formidable for any team. In fact had the confidence level been the same we could have gone for the target of 299 in B'lore. We should have opened with Sewag and Tendulkar with Harbajan at No. 3 and Dhoni at no. 4. The wall, dada and VVS could have dropped anchor if we had lost early wickets. Do you remember the tied test when India went on to get 348. In a nutshell be aware of facts before shooting your mouth.
nothing succeeds like success so CONGRACT ULATIONS gautam for superb knock. HATS OFF, PAISA WASUL, MIND BLOWING, EKDAM ZAKAS. Ican expect tons like 201 not out by your delhi dwelling couner part virender sehwag in lanka gautam gambhir was unsung hero as per 100.7 MHZ air india FM radio experts so i salute this unsung hero,
Gambhir played a very controlled inning that was built up almost at the same pace as Segwag, but wasn't as chancy or flamboyant. Very good foil to Sehwag and speaks volumes of the talent Gambhir has.
But it happened twice in two innings for Indian batsmen who played irresponsibly after achieving the personal milestone. Both (Dada and Gauti) had the opportunity to continue to bigger scores that woudl have helped India - but both went for outlandish shots after their 100. While we revel in the obvious success against the mighty Aussies, the team should remind the players that their contribution does not get over once their milestone is got; the job must not be left for "someone else" !
NOTE: my note is NOT to take away from the fabulous all-around show by the team (batsmen, bowlers, even fielding) but this may be the next step to make winning a consistent habit !
