India is poor county with tons of money and talent but it will always fail to achieve big success and this is all because of BCCI and politicians involved in it. I'm really happy to be away from India just because of too much corruption :))
Bascially From Cric info what we have come to know that That Board president Shashanka Monohar has given Zee net work an abnormal proposal. Here is the bellow- ICL officials say the letter was sent to Morgan on Thursday, after the meeting with the BCCI, but no confirmation was available from the ICC. The letter claims Chandra was informed by Morgan, after the ICC board meeting, that Manohar had undertaken "to sit with ICL officials and resolve the matter." "I am told that Manohar also mentioned in the board meeting that the ICL has not so far made any formal request to the BCCI for recognition," the letter says. It adds that when such a request was presented to Manohar during Thursday's meeting, the BCCI president, who is also a well-known lawyer, "refused" to see it. Chandra also claimed that Manohar said the Indian board would deal with him only if he disassociated himself from the ICL, a proposal Chandra says he rejected. What is this moronic thing this Monhar wants to say. Actually This Monhar, srinivashan and Lalit Modi do have criminal back ground. This Criminals should be taken under Investigation.
IPL copied ICL but included some Indian greats hence they became successful. Indians dont like cricket, they only like players. If Sachin, Ganguli etc. join ICL then Indians will ignore IPL and throng to watch ICL.

looks like you have no idea of Indian cricket. IPL's business model and design was proposed by Lalit Modi in mid-90s. It took this long for it to come to fruition. ICL is a cheap, third-rate league started because that A.s.s.h.o.l.e Subhash Chandra couldn't win TV rights for cricket telecast and so wanted another way to make money. Better get your facts straight before vomitting in such forums.

Thanks Tanoy ! This guy Lalkrishna Puneet seems to be a Modi agent or a close relative of Modi and hence cannot tolerate anything against him. More than 90% of people hate BCCI's stand on ICL and only few such as Puneet like rogues like Modi. Look at another of Puneet's comment which is in response to Kuntak Nag's posting.

looks like you are from BCCI and work for IPL. You say Modi conceived in 90s and delivered after 10 years. What a joke.
ICC should make it public on what was discussed between BCCI and ICL. Indian public will then come to know why the talks failed. It will be interesting to see of they talked cricket or something else.

ICL must and should give recognition to ICL and their players must be allwed to play for the National Team. BCCI's monopoly should be removed. All the major cricket grounds in India which are under BCCI should also be given to ICL teams to play their matches.... Cricket is no one's single property.....

tomorrow you will start playing cricket in some galli and ICC has to recognise that also? ICL is the very definition of R.E.B.E.L. If ICL wanted recognition, Subhash Chandra should have applied for it first with ICC before starting the league. Only fools will support the drama of that money minded dinosaur.
