See Prasanna, that's the difference between people. I never mentioned anything related to region or politics in my post. But since you do not have any reply to my point, you immediately resort to bringing regional bias and politics into the discussion.
My comment was on cricket and your choice. But, your comment is on my state and politics. How are these related? They are not.
My earlier post and this one too, is about the same thing. If you don't like it, log off.

Ian Chappel is taking on Kumble
by Notout_Naveen on Oct 16, 2008 02:55 PM

The same Ian Chappel had written Sachin off after 2007 worldcup but no one stood up to defend Sachin n Indian team (including media).. It was this ANIL KUMBLE who gave him a fitting reply and defended scahin saying "What Ian chapplel has done to Indian cricket?? Sachin has done 17 years service to Indian cricket team and he knows at the best what time to call a day'...n ofcourse Sachin replied him back with his performnace in Aus tour...

Now, Kumble is struggling to get his rythm right ( it can happen to any cricketer irrespective of age)..so Ian Chappel finds this is the best time to make an amends..so he is all after Kumble in the concluded Banglore test match...

But sadly our media which couldnt defend even Sachin is now supporting Ian Chappel's view again & making it hard for Kumble..Kumble is right in writing aginst media n joker Ian Chappel..

Media before making everthing on the headline pls do some soul searching..

Where is Kumble? Is he not fit for II test?

And one more fact about Sehwag. You said that he scores only in flat pitch.

He scored everywhere in SA, Pak, Eng, Australia.

He scored 15 Hundreds. You told that we won only 2. But the fact is:

Won - 3
Lost - 3 (His 105 in Debut against SA & 195 against Australi at Melbourne are master class innings, which we lost just because others didnt perform well. We score just 366 when he scored 195)

Drawn - 9 Tests. That means otherwise we should have lost 9 Tests.

Good things also end
by Crick fan on Oct 16, 2008 01:25 PM  | Hide replies

Kumble has been a fantastic player for years. He deserves all the respect and admiration. But off late his game has taken a down slope. After all all good things come to an end. Time for this Champion to hang boots. It would be worst to see him struggling to take wickets and eying tail-enders for getting few wickets. If Kumble is playing next match, may be we need to pitch in an extra spinner.

To most people solutions mean finding the answers. But to chemists solutions are things that are still all mixed up.

@Anurag - Sehwag
by Sneha on Oct 16, 2008 12:40 PM  | Hide replies

Did you forget the recent Hundred Sehwag scored in Fourth Innings of the Fourth test against Australia in Australia, which saved us from the defeat?

Though we should have won only 2 (I havent checked whether this is correct, I accept what you have given) we should have saved many defeats.

White bowl swings much in first 10 overs. Thats why he is so inconsistent in ODI. He is failed in Eng. He can't play good on difficult pitch.
He can play good on difficult situation but when there is batting wicket.

Are you sure he will be in the side after 6 months?
His record shows how many times he has been dropped from the team because of inconsistency. Recently he is in fantastic form and will play some series.
But the point is how long he can continue his form.

Sehwag is good in test because he knows how to convert 50 to big hundred. But he can only do this on flat tracks.
In last test in 4th inning batting was so difficult and he failed. There are so many instances. In abroad most of the times Batting on first day is much difficult than others day.

He is teh best thing happen in Indian Cricket After Sachin Tendulkar......he is capable of doing anything...because of him only may be Ponting has to bat for an hour in the final day to take the lead arround 300...because he knows Schewag can change the equation in few overs..this in turn actually help India to draw the match as they have to play lesser over...

Then where are Dravid, Laxman, Kumble stands in front of Sehwag?
History shows how many times he has been dropped from the team because of inconsistency.
