The article says "He may be pushing 40 years old but Jayasuriya (40 runs) showed little sign of ageing as he and fellow opener Mahela Udawatte (25) put on 66 in 6.6 overs."

Please don't compare Jaisurya with Sachin and underestimate legend Sachin. Both are classic player but their approach is different.

7 overs. Normally this notation is used after 6th ball is bowled and before bowling first ball of next over

Shu* up Isnt it...ur definition is not funny at all...Mr. Writer does not know what is 6.6 & 7 overs......
Undoubtedly he is the greatest match winner in the current cricketing scenario. A true match winner, he can belt around any bowling attack with his sixes and cuts. Indian bowlers are always in the low esteem mould when they have to bowl to him.
Jayasurya should retire and allow youngsters to play. So what if he is performing, age should be the only criteria. How can the Srilankan board select a person nearing 40. Ridiculous

Yeah you are right. Jayasuriya made bowlers like Manoj Prabhakar & Venkatesh Prasad retire much earlier than they expected...LOL

There is no doubt that he's playing very well now. But Don't beg him for any reason. Our players are also greatest in the World all the times.

Mendis has prove it again that he is the best bowler in the world. He received Man of the series as well. It would be very intresting to see him outside the subcontinent. But as of now he seems to be unstoppable.
