The main reason behind opposition of ICL from BCCI is the competency level between these two organization. ICL is being run by dedicated bunch of professionals, and organized by reputed cricketers only while talking about BCCI, every one knows the level of competency of these Politicians who are ruling it like monarchy. Now they know from inner selves that they can not compete with ICL if they allow them operate a a recognized tournament. Losers BCCI
frankly speaking, Zee owner has got no right to interfere in the business of BCCI. he is doing all this in frustration b'cos he was not awarded broadcasting rights by BCCI. and it's true tht ICC i.e International (White) Cricket Council will take undue advantage of this dispute dethrone the BCCI's dominance in internation cricket.
I saw couple of matches of ICL in this season and I must say the standard of their play is better than IPL. IPL may get better coverage for foreign dancers and SRK etc cheapoes but I saw ICL is being played with true spirit of cricket. IPL fielding standard is hopeless with compared to ICL, I dont know why?

I fully agree!!! ICL should be recognised so that our great game does not suffer and talented players who are playing in ICL get a chance to represent India also.
There's no need to talk with ICL because ICL is no threat at all it will fade away with time coz how much a billionaire business man can spend year after year without profit. BCCI also made mistake by recognizing Kapil dev on 25th anniversary of world cup victory. it always seems like he speaking he's heart out for the welfare of cricket playing kids but i think he is pure business man and biggest actor of them all.

Mr. Simrat... what BCCI today its because of the HEROs of '83. and KAPIL was the LEADER of all those HEROs... and NO GAME is made for one single BOARD.... If you have any Knowledge of working of BCCI...u will not talk like a fool... BCCI itself said its an INDEPENDENT BOARD and not at all part of INDIAN Goverment or no one from INDIAN goverment can guide them for any thing.......so mind it please.. if its a PRIVATE it means its also Doing a Business and not doing anything for Country or for the GAME.

Don't bother, aaktak, people like simrat are fools who do not know what they are saying. I am sure that this simrat chap is working with the BCCI and his name is just some cover-up.

Simrat..... The present IPL is not BCCIs idea.... ICL came first and as reaction IPL was launched...
glad to note icc has asked bcci to meet representativies of icl.seriously bcci has no business to continue with the t 20 format, instead it should allow private players like ipl and others to pursue this type of cricket. bcci with its unlimited financial resources, support and unearth untapped talent by encouraging the game of cricket by providing infratructure, kits, coaches and help discipline a new generation of budding sportsmen, not only in cricket, but given its finacnial surpluses other sports too. instead we find bcci big guns introduce the t 20 formats officially and participate in its operations as francisees. support must be extended to the likes of zee tv owners who with the help of cricketing heroes like kapil dev and able adminstrators like bharat reddy saw a good thing in popularising the t2o format only to see bcci take undue advantage of it unassailable position to thwart icl's growth. threatening and acting upon not including players that took part in non bcci supported tournaments surely is a depserate move. it should encourage more such tournaments by private players, set some guidelines. and allow bcci selectors to take advantage of these exposures and pick the best of the lot. bcci must parrallely run its ranji and duleep more effectively and not let dates clash to make it convenient for established players to skip them. some self imposed policies by bcci, such as limiting tenure of office bearers, cricketing background being essential to be nominated.
BCCI and IPL: Please set your egos aside and further contribute to recognize ICL. We are the biggest population in the cricketing world and we should have more batsmen like Tendulkar, all rounders like Kapil Devs, bowlers like Anil Kumble in India and keepers like Dhoni... We are sure to have more players booming to be candidates for the Indian Cricket team.

ICL is stands for True Players. The Indian Cricket Team is picking up of only 10dulkar or Dhonis Fans.
ICL shud get its recognition atleast icc shud make it d lower league to ipl... v can have IPL as league1 and ICL as league2... den v can also have relegation and promotion system in dis system... my main point is d game of cricket shud not suffer and so ipl shud b given some recognition... thank you...

Dear friend. if we look back, it was icl which came first into light. the idea of this league was simply to provide a chance to particularly those, who cant get any due to the "internal politics", or due to lack of the platform other than Indian national cricket team. it was ipl which came after icl, and stole the show. with handsome money, bliz n glamour, ipl became for polular. bcci gave it a recognition, more with the intentions to defend icl, rather than doing any good to the cricket. so i feel icl should b given an recognition, if ipl has been given so. and thus, its a welcome move by icc.

i agree with mayank...Cricket BCCI ke BAPOATI NAHI HAI....... anyone can play cricket...DUM hai to DO DO hath karlo... nothing wrong to give recognition to ICL.... Then are not earning ,not having such big promos, not having such big Stadium , No stardum but still CRICKET is ALIVE....and see the name it self.. its ICL ... indian CRICKET league ..and not IPL- indian Premier League ..no Cricket just P=Paisa, Promotions,Power.

ICL should get recognition directly from ICC. BCCI will just delay this matter or make some false reports to escape from the issue.ICC should not come under money power pressure of BCCI and recognize ICL immediately for betterment of all Cricketers and Ultimately for Cricket
