Never Awaken a Sleeping Tiger
by Rahim Shaik on Oct 15, 2008 12:07 PM

That's what Zaheer is trying to do. He is trying to awaken the sleeping tigers(Ozs). There is no doubt that he really played well and deserved the Man of the match BUT look at his comments, so immature.

We all know who played better. His comments only make Aussies stronger and he has no idea how dangerous Hayden and Ponting can be.

In another note, the problem with our Indian team is our captain. Look at his body language through-out the match. A captain should lead-by-example. How can you expect a team to perform when it's captain is struggling.

Barking ----- does not bite
by Michael Ponnudurai on Oct 14, 2008 05:48 PM  | Hide replies

Zaheer should now prevent himself from being just a barking -----. Every time he is going to spend more overs for every wicket he is going to be under pressure and same while batting. He will be under pressure to bat like he did every time he goes to bat in this series.
Most part of the game, Mr Zaheer, Australia was dominating, except for the time zaheer and Harbhajan were batting in the 1st innings. With a first innings deficit of 70 and having to fight with their backs to the wall on the 5th day, Mr Zaheer, India were no where near Aus, sadly on an an Indian pitch. Our so called world's best spinners did not take more than 3 wkts. That way Aus spinners were better conceding even less runs against our world's best batting team, while picking the same number of wickets. Mr Zaheer, do not think that all Indian cricket fans are mad or fools to get carried away by your wayward insolent thoughts. You were indeed lucky in getting one favourable decision against a Stuart Clark's appeal for LBW on 3rd day. All said and done, Aus had the lead and made India to sweat for a draw. So do not try to fool us with your empty talk. Stop talking and start focussing on performing and winning. That would be best way.
Zaheer's wail only proves who was under pressure throughout the match

Ponnudurai, Zaheer backed his talk with a performance. Since his comeback, he has been a more committed, fitter player.

morale-boosting draw ?
by CJ on Oct 14, 2008 02:29 PM  | Hide replies

How can a draw be morale boosting? We people should change our attitude and should always play to win. I can't understand how to play for a draw. This idea itself sucks.

Aussies were brave enough to declare their inning early on day 5th before lunch. India would have declared only at Tea, if we would have been in their place in order to secure the draw.

All the attention was given to Tendulkar breaking record of Lara and nobody even intended to win the match. The only intention of ours was to draw the match.

Mr. Idiot CJ. You ahve a chicken brain. Australians have eaten so many overs on the entire day 4 (their runrate was just 2.5 through out)..They haven't played ay attacking game. They took nearly 90 overs to get to 228..But you are expecting indians to reach 299 with iin 77 overs that too on the last day.

absolutely..they have taken so many overs to reach to 228..That time only it was decded that they are playing for a draw. He only declared on 5th day only when he knows that they can't lose form then..Now he blames Indians don't have guts to chase..Bloody politician..Even some of our indian idiots also beleive the same.
