After Kapil it was just Sourav who had the spirit of a fighter and perhaps with a team where wickets fall like cycles in cycle stand he still has been the most successfull captain of India till date. The propaganda against him by lot of anti-Indians finally got succeedded. Indians were never united and nor they will be as far as they keep on disgracing talents and being zonal. Shame
I am not an ardent fan Dada,but I like watching cricket and the way Ganguly played.Unfortunately and inevitably everyone has to retire from whatever field he is connected with(exception for politics).What the author has to realise is that the things he had mentioned about Dada's colleagues is the same we can witness in all walks of life and we should have the power to outwit it,defintely Sourav overcame all these with his will power.The reporter must realise that everthing and everyone has to fall or give way for better ones,it's better to stop singing while you have a good audience.And afterall the world has become place for the fittest.
After Dada leaves,the Indian cricket will definitely loose a charismatic figure one who brought pride,passion.valour.strength ,application of mind@ aggresivenss .
Evrey bit of what the article says is more than 100% correct.I wonder how More being a national selector can declare that he will not take ganguly even before team is selected ? Is it Bombaywala's jealousy or else ?
I read d article n the comments expressed by all cricket lovers. I do agree with this article totally. Why r all these wolves back of such a great cricketer who brought back glory to indian cricket after the great Kapil.All says he was stubborn and a dada. Did he do all this to make earness for himself and his family. He was stubborn and dada against the dirty cheeky selectors who used to select the team for their benefits. Sourav fought against such theifs who did nothing for the cricket, but just for their betterment. Tiger didnt fight for his family or his statemates, he fought for all the good players like Yu, Shew, Irf, Kaif,Zahe, Bala,and so on. And all these proved that the tiger was right. Why didnt Ten, n Dra, or Azh fight for the right combination. It was against the same sele people that d tiger fought. The tiger brought back Indian cricket from the shames to the glories. The rest couldnt fight for the right combination because i think they too was getting a share from the selectors. So they didnt speak for the right combination. The tiger didnt want any share of this, but just thought of the pride of the nation so he fought for the right combination like a street dada. Its not that I dnt respect Sachin, Dravid, or Laxman, they too are great cricketers. Along with this tiger they too did their share to bring back the glory to Indian cricket. first of all i am sourav ganguly fan and not a ckt fan ,th fact tat i am very proud of,i hav no inclination to watch ckt once he retires. well siddu once said u throw stones only at tree which bears fruits.So all th hopeless ppl who r happy and pointing fingers at him r becoz they r jus nt able 2 believa how can go thru such a trauma and come bac victorious.Th treatment meted out 2 him makes me cringe as an indian.despite so much controversies if he can achieve so much ,one can jus imagine how much he wud hav achieved had these controversies nt cropped up.to me sourav is defnitely 1 notch above sachin,coz sachin never stood up 4 his players ,gave up captaincy and never spoke whenever a player needed his support. sachin and dravids technique is flawless so them achieving is nt a big deal but sourav with a so called flawed technique has achived so much is a matter of gr8 significance 2 me. 20 yrs down th line india may remember dravid as a good cricketer but sourav as a hero an ainspiration 2 1 and all.

Ganguly always used dalmiay, media n political support from left he always out burst in meida to get public notice later part of the his cricketing career is the result of his own dirty politics and dadagiri the writer blamed all other ppl many who contributed to his success as captian. But did not write a single word about ganguly's dadagiri Even any time dravid will always remembereas one of best cricket plyer of india while ganguly will be remembered as dadaaaa Ganguly is now only succuessful captain in test format not in odis...

records are meant to be broken. so if dhoni has more success as a ODI captain than sourav, it is good for indian cricket. best of luck to the team.

He was a true leader and only anti-Indians will oppose it. Those who opposes him are the same people whose grandpa and great grandpa were working for Britishers being Indian. The blood of slavery is there within them they dont feel proud as an Indian so how they can watch India succeed under Dadas captaincy. The legend Sachin failed, Azhar was a bribed captain and need less to say Dravid was a puppet he was never a captain and now we have Dhoni who is better as a politician rather than cricketer. Till date Dada is still among the best cricketer india has ever produced.

absolutely....dravid and sachin are whingers who jus care abt their performance and records...but ganguly cares abt the team and is more inspirational...
