Now that the Top order is almost out, Kumble will step in and claim the tail enders wicket. For quite some time this has been the case. Kumble now is good enough only to pick No 6-10.
the courageness of aus is very smart and brillient., no cap in world did like this, see our cap not able to take one wkt., how he tell about others. mr.pointing did good job welldone., at the same time zaheer and ishant also good., why the spiner not did any thing they loose the spin?

600-5...Those days are done.. Ishant will beat bat few times... run up to your big guys to give a long stare.

Don't make up your mind on just one innings man. Sure Ponting is a great cricketer but when it comes to the greatest of all time, anyone who has seen both Sachin and Ponting play will instantly say that Sachin lies a few notches ahead in regard to pure class..not to mention his overwhelming records round the globe.

Not going by an innings just look at the stats. Lara scored more runs in lesser number of innings and Ponting....The same stats

Undoubtedly after Don Bradman Sachin would be considered the best batsman of all time. However, given the way Ponting has played in the last 5 years , whether anyone likes it or not he is going to break all records in test cricket.
Re: Ponting

Then why would you give it to Sachin... I guess there are many better player who played critical innings like pointing did yesterday when team needs most..
Lara is obviously above alll, poniting come next & K Petersion will join leage soon along with M Hussy.

Because for many years I had been Sachin's fan so I am a little biased towards him. Hope you understand :-). However, the reality is Ponting is going super fast and inching towards overtaking Sachin's records in test cricket.
What our correspondent misses out conveniently, has been well reported by Archie Henderson in 'The Times',Australia. Quote."Restricting Australia to 254 for four on the first day would have well pleased Anil Kumble’s Indians. They had started the day well, with a rejuvenated Zaheer Khan and a more hirsute than norman Ishant Sharma bowling an attack line. Both fast bowlers were unlucky with lbw decisions, the umpires were generous towards the Australians. But Matthew Hayden might have got a roughie with the catch behind. Not even the TV was clear whether it came off his bat or pad, but Khan got it to swing late and probably deserved the wicket...." Unquote Most of our reporters etc are in Aussie pay-roll.

bhajji and sehwag only know how to howl... when it comes to playing cricket they go in hiding...sore losers Lets hope aussies win 4-0... Go the green and gold... Aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi
HE SHOULD HAVE WALKED WHEN KUMBLE HELD THE RETURN CATCH. EARLIER, THAT SA UMPIRE (WHO SEEMS TO BE IN AUSSIE PAY-ROLE)BAILED HIM OUT WHEN HE WAS LBW TWICE TO ISHANT SHARMA. ANY DUMB UMPIRE WOULD HAVE RULED HIM OUT.FORTUNATELY FOR BHAJJI IT WAS PAK UMPIRE WHO DECLARED HIM OUT RIGHTLY. KUDOS TO AUSSIES- HOW QUICKLY THEY FOUND CHOR-BUCKNOR'S REPALCEMENT.

boo hoo hoo... umpires are cheat... match was fixed... weather was not too nice... why dont u cry like this when tendulkar scored hundred... indians lack in sportsman spirit and thts why they always lose...as they will in this test match just like 2-1 scoreline
I seriously think selectors should have given captaincy to Dhoni..I agree Dravid, Kumble are great players...but they dont have LUCK to back them when they are captains..but likes of Dhobi and Gangu are pretty lucky. In the past season even if Dhobi takes bad decisions they become good for the team ...and he is an inspirational player...I also think..Laxman should retire..if any ine had seen yesterday's match we can see his fitness...even ganguly is in better shape than Laxman...Laxman cant field, bowl...may bat some times...overall very sluggish on the field

if dhoni is indian captain Autralia will make 2/700. Dhoni has worse test average than kamal 29
