Jumbo's retirement
by suryanarayanan ramesh on Oct 09, 2008 07:41 AM

JUmbo said he want to quit only one day International not Test Cricket. This also hints to the public people like me, the Board has clearly planned the exit of the "Fab 4's & conspiracy has drawn & chalked out very clearly for retirement of the senior's is very dis-heartening.

When will the Board Realise their mistakes.

The International players & the other cricketing Nations are praising our players, but in our own country with democracy, the Selectors/Board Officials (I CALL THEM AS BUNCH OF JOKERS LIKE JIMMY) are still playing the dirty political cricket even after retirement is not digestable.

He is one of the most Humble, gentle and very compititive cricketer to have played for India. Hope he goes on winning note.
He thinks the batsman out, he is not a big spinner, does'nt turn the ball much.

is there any VRF for inefficient Board officials?
by Tanoy on Oct 09, 2008 01:29 AM  | Hide replies

It is sad that a bunch of criminals are seating in BCCI . Board president Shashank Manohar is accused for multiple reason in here

“To know Shashank Manohar better, one has to go back to 26th November 1995. It was an ODI played between India and New Zealand when the VCA stadium wall collapsed, killing 13 people and injuring over 70. And who were responsible? Shashank Manohar himself, along with his father V.R. Manohar, the bosses of the VCA stadium - allegely these guys had contracted a close relative of theirs for the construction of the wall. It isn't a surprise that a man responsible for cricket's biggest onfield tragedy is the vice-president of the board.”

Current Secretary N Srinivasan is another controversial character “ Being a Secretary
Of the board this guy still owning IPL Franchise Chennai Super king which is one of the biggest conflict of interest. Funniest thing they are accusing Mr Dalmiya for the corruption but this guy was the treasurer.

I don’t want to sepak about lalit Modi any more. He can do or undo any thing for IPL and money.

Even Senior person Like IS Bindra also told “ Betting should be legalized In Cricket.”
I don’t know if Indian Govt will declare any VRS for those joker officials or not

Basically 20-20 has already started to bleed the cricket badly.

INDIAN CRICKET TEAM IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD WHEN THERE ARE NO OTHER COUNTRIES PLAYING THE GAME...
INDIAN BATSMEN ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD WHEN THERY ARE PLAYING ON WICKETS ON WHICH THE BALL NEVER BOUNCES ABOVE THEIR KNEES.
INDIAN BOWLERS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD WHEN THERE ARE MORE POT HOLES ON THE PITCH THAN THE NUMBER OF RUNS INDIAN BATSMEN GET...
INDIAN FIELDERS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD WHEN THE BATSMEN BLOCKS A DELIVERY AND THE BALL IS TRAVELLING AS FAST AS GANGULY SCAMPERS FOR A QUICK SINGLE..
INDIAN CRICKET FANS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD, WHEN THEY HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO AFTER CHEWING PAN AND SPITTING ON THE ROAD....

check Kummble's record and fighting spirit man. This is not 20-20 cricket.Even a player like Yuvaraj Singh has failed miserably in test cricket.Australian oldies do well than their younger counterparts and they give more importance to performance than age

Looks like Kumble is annoyed with Ganguly!
by Kabeer on Oct 08, 2008 11:26 PM  | Hide replies

Is it a master stroke on part of Ganguly?

Perhaps yes, perhaps not!

However, it appears that Kumble is a little annoyed with Gangulys announcement of retirement just a few days before the start of the series.

With his not too good a show with the bat in the warm up match in both the innings, Ganguly was running the risk of not being in the team for the first test. As everybody knows which player will play in the test is mostly the prerogative of the Captain.

With Ganguly announcing his retirement jsut days before, Kumble cant possibly think of omitting Ganguly in the first test which he probably could have done to start on a winning note, particularly in view of Indias dismal record at the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Dada is an Emperor!

Just like he is the God on offside, he seems to display the same silken touch in playgin political strokes too!

Anyway, it would be a good series to watch!
