Why didnot the board pres team declared earlier, so that they could have inflicted a demoralising defeat to Australians. wanted personal glory by getting a century. even after getting out he did not declare. when will we learn to score some browny points before the test matches begin
Whether seniors perform well or not in upcoming series. For future either we should rotate the seniors or drop them one by one by finding their replacement.

It may not be no mean attack, but definitely 'depleted' one(remember warnie, mcgrath...). One of the few problems he has is 'fitness'. He is confined to dressing room most of the time when India A is fielding. Comparitively speaking he is the least fix player... may be worst currently.

Permitting will and hard work, fitness is not a difficult thing to attain. I wonder, this guy known for his sheer "determination" haven't had it much for years.

breddy we know u can never say anything good about ganguly.not only u but many.depleted attack.man shane warne retired ages ago.mc grath retired centuries ago.what r u up to.see if u wanna target ganguly.then do it,so be it.but dont find lame excuses.be confident in whatever u say.u wanna target ganguly,do it without doubt but the excuses ur making is kinda immature.ganguly was ill.for ur kind information he played nice in australia against the same bowling attack.and regarding the depletion i guess u give us abreak.yeah they dont have good spinners,in that case they r indeed depleted.but saying shane warne and mc grath aint in the team was little too much.

Rohit better choice in Tests. The class is there in his every little knocks. Assured place in the team will give enough confidence and will change their approach. It is Chappell’s assurance that revived Yuvis ODI career. Same is the case with Rohit. Any doubt?

Class is illusion... Runs are substance..
Critic are always putting down Dhoni because he is not stylish & termed as 'Dhobi' as if he is there to whack the ball. But look at the result ... he has two fifties without single boundry in ODI, both match winning.

In India P.Chawala in place of Munaf. Sreesanth has ability to take wickets on flat tracks.

Munaf should be perm member in 15.. so when we go abroad, he can dishout some quick spells. Rest when we play at home.

there is no such scheme. You have to be stay updated with the news. VRS is made by the media only.

i too ok, was very busy. Even I could not check my mails. Today I am totally free. I am going to check the GM mails first.
Bhadrinath has been a regular performer in domestic matches. Very consistant. People - lookup his current Ranji record. He is in the team 'cause of performance.
Akash chopra is the one that is missing out, here. He had a terrific season too, including double centuries. He is very experienced batsman against international attacks.
so, Bhadri while he gets a chance, he has to step up to the plate. Otherwise, we have a good cover in Chopra, though he normally plays as an opener.
Re: Bhadri's selection is due base don his Domestic performance.
by Jatin Desai on Oct 06, 2008 11:15 AM
Akash Chopra should get chance along the way in current season of 6 test matches... If Gambir doesnot do well.
Re: Bhadri's selection is due base don his Domestic performance.
by Khiladi on Oct 06, 2008 11:29 AM
akash Chopra is not a confident player. We need someone like Virat Kohli type 'fluent' player.
Re: Bhadri's selection is due base don his Domestic performance.

One final chance is needed... Kohli can play in Middle order .. so you have him there

Look at Badri batting against quality fast bowling. Against Tait, Noffke, Ishant, Lee, M.Johnson. He is good player of spin but can't play quality fast bowling. Against these bowler he found so difficulties to rotate the strike. In last 1 month he is in very bad form. Why he is selected?
There are people that argue for Yuvaraj everytime he hits an inconsequential century on a flat pitch. This guy was given prime chance to prove himself when india went to australia. India changed their batting order to accomodate this guy. The guy didnt even putup an effort. He was too busy playing lovy-dubby with Deepika. Now, he hits a century in a match, on a flat pitch. Selectors are right in ignoring him.
Bhadri has been doing well in domestic cricket. He deserves it. So does Akash Chopra and Kaif. Yuvi should be behind all these players in the waiting queue.
Re: Yuvaraj Failed in Australia & spoilt india's chances in Test#1
by Anurag Rathore on Oct 06, 2008 11:09 AM
He failed in 4 consecutive innings in Aus, before these 4 innings he made 169 against Pak in India. But it has happened so many times with Jaffer, Sehwag, Dravid, Ganguly and other players also. You can't say a player is flop because of his 4 consecutive failure. He should be given chance in all the tests of a series. Then decide he is capable or not. I agree with Sneha statement "Inclusion of Ganguly in the team means there is no place for another".

Agree. Everyone needs to be given chances and a longer rope. However, those who watched Yuvaraj scratch around and not even put up an effort in austrlia were baffled. It was as though he didnt want to be there.
He was pathetic in australia. Didnt deserve a chance to screw up india's chances, any further. You cannot not putup an effort and expect to be given chances.
As for Jaffer, he is an opening bat and hence has little hope of entering the team as a middle order bat. He had some technical problems against Aussie bowlers in Austrlia.

This time no B.Hogg there. Yuvi can do magic if get chance in last two. Iam waiting for Dhoni to become captain of test side. Becuase Yuvi is not in the team until Dhoni is not captain.

hey, Mr. Taliban, badri also made tons in the flat wickets only.
Wait for the series and let us see how he perform. Otherwise, Virat, Sharmaji, Jaffer and Yuvi are in line.

Yes. He has to perform. However, the guys in your list need to perform with at a consistant level in the domestic scene, before they can be considered for test matches. These are not one day or 20-20 matches and hence, you got to have the patience to bat an entire half-a-day if not a day. do you think these guys qualify. Me think not. However, Kaif, Akash and Bhadri have done that. Yuvi has talent, but no patience.
