You Idiot. You Don't about Chennai then die. Nokia, Ford, Hyundai, BMW is everything in Chennai Only. Chennai also have fort like Mumbai and everybody knows chennai peoples have unity than any other cities in India. So we never allow the terrorists inside the city. Be an Indian first then commend. Chennai peoples stand with Mumbai for this terror attack. Don't be a Dump and allow more terror attacks. Fight with others parts of India peopls and Allow Pak terror to ur City.

ECB only requested BCCI to have a match in South India. Read the article properly first.

Sensible thing is to cancel the tour
by aficionado on Nov 29, 2008 11:40 AM  | Hide replies

It is not just the question of the safety of players, whether from the touring England squad or our own players.

It is a question of showing solidarity with and sharing the grief of those who laid down their lives in the dastardly terrorist act in the last 3 days.

BCCI should become sensible and cancel the test matches as well. Going one step ahead, BCCI should not harbour any plan to send an Indian team to Pakistan in the current circumstances.

Even without the issue of terrorism, many have started feeling that in the last couple of years, BCCI has been thoughtlessly over-exploiting the players and the public, sponsors and advertisers, media channels etc. It is high time that BCCI reviewed the whole situation and took steps to restrict the number of tests, ODIs and T20 matches within a reasonable number per calender year, starting from January 2009.

Politics yet again !!!
by Anirban Dasgupta on Nov 29, 2008 10:46 AM  | Hide replies

The BCCI and specially Lalit Modi are the most selfish, partisan administrators one can imagine. The way BBCI is ignoring and delibarately denying Eden Gardens to host matches is the naked display of petty politics. I have nothing against Chennai but wrongfully allocating matches to other cities shows the diabolical attitude of BCCI.

Thanks Mr. Kannan to point the line in the above article. Though by the nature and language of your reply it is clearly evident that regionalism runs through your veins. As for deliberately denying Eden Gardens is concerned, I do not think there is any doubt about it. If BCCI is following a rotation policy then why was Bangalore allocated an ODI just a few days after it had hosted a test match against Australia. My dear Tamil friend know the facts first and then argue.

see Mr. Kannan you cannot blame the community like that. Even there are tamilians who are a great fan of ganguly. He has done no wrong do Indian cricket. As far Kolkata not hosting matches, it is a good lesson to the people there coz it is a very min-minded crowd. I being bengali from North East accept the fact that Kolkata crowd is a notorious crowd, but about Ganguly being a bad player cannot be accepted.
