Selectors
by P Ramanathan on Nov 27, 2008 09:40 AM

Leaking is very serious on the part of selectors. I think Dhoni had the right to be annoyed and I think has has put forward his views faily. BCCI must sack the person who leaked the indoor discussions without any mercy.

DHONI WATCH OUT
by damodaran mohan on Nov 26, 2008 11:54 AM

Dhoni must be careful. Some disgruntled cricket fans will not lose any opportunity to pull him down. They are not able to digest Dhoni's success as captain and will do everything to break the team unity.

I'd rather not read anything this Pataudi says. I had a lot of respect for this gentleman till a couple of years ago. Since the time he shot the rare species of animal for his recreation and then went into hiding like a dog I lost complete respect for him. He should've know that its no more his feudal system and he's not a king. I wonder if he has paid his dues for such a ghastly incident

Agree with you on that count. Pataudi did not show any respect for law of the land. He didn't even apologize for his mistake.

This is the irony and the world we live in. While you have correctly pointed out that Criminal offences should be probed, we have a rich body appointing retired judges to arbitrate and decide on simple issues like a "one match ban" in a sport.

MAK Pataudi has no regard for the constitution and the laws of the country and definitely has lost his claim to judge what needs to be probed and what needs to be embraced. He is a disgrace.

Leak should definitely be probed
by Nipun Java on Nov 26, 2008 12:16 AM

Imagine any trade secret of a publicly listed company being let out by an employee. Do you think there would be no probe? THis is the root issue here. BCCI just tends to ignore the root cause of all problems, slowly this would be forgotten and then a couple of months down the line, another can of worms would be split open. Mr. Shukla would make another stupid statement to the effect that "these media reports are baseless".

I am very inspired by Dhoni and the growth of the indian cricket team, but I am not sure that the administration is ready to support Indian team in its quest to be the best. There's just simply too much politics associated with cricket, which is a huge roadblock

Probe selection meeting leak: Pataudi
by Saish Gersappa on Nov 25, 2008 10:18 PM

Definitely the person who leaked out the news would have collected a lot of money from the media persons. The BCCI must be in the know about the person who would have leaked the information, but will obviously will it under the carpet with the usual denial.

Pataudi is a bad guy !
by Chris on Nov 25, 2008 09:48 PM  | Hide replies

Er, Pataudi calling for a probe ?

The Pataudis have been hunting endangered wildlife for several generations.

When he was caught red-handed recently in a case of hunting and poaching of an endangered animal, he conveniently hushed up the case, by using his influence.
That's the kind of guy this Pataudi is.

What has that got anything to do with probing the allegation here? Get off your high moral ground.

Pataudi failed to show any respect to India or for its laws. He lost my respect after his wanton acts of killing species that are endangered.

Dhoni had already been clear about it and we dont need no endorsement from Pataudi, he lawless.

Very correctly pointed out. People who live in glass houses, should not throw stones at others.
