regarding ICL and BCCI
by JAYAPRAKASH RAJENDRAN on Nov 22, 2008 01:24 PM

India is one of the greatest democracies in the world. The fundamental rights of action and thought is allowed. Regarding ICL, it is not untouchable. ICL paved the way for IPL and English Premier League. As an ardent Indian cricket fan, I can’t understand why BCCI is using its full power in depromoting ICL. If the main aim of ICL is to expose the talents in the remote areas and places where there is no sufficient facilities, it should be applauded. If the Board officials and BCCI officials sit together and discard their egoistic differences, it will be good for the betterment of Indian cricket. Don’t forget due to IPL many players benefited. One fine example is Shaun marsh of Australia.

I request the Board officials to discard their ego and try to promote the game in remote areas so that if top players retire, there will be enough replacement for them in the team. Our only aim is to win the next world cup.
