With so much talent in our country, becoming number one team in the world should not be difficult at all. Let us wish ourselves courage, determination and perseverance as we march towards the pinnacle of cricketing glory.
Hey VVS... I wanted to ask you one question.... You played over 100 test matches... I was wondering what was your goal all these years... that you suddenly realized your goal was to be No.1????
No offence meant, just wanted to know what was your goal for the past 10 years!!!!

Shocking post and cant understand what made you think so bad about Laxman. While there are plenty of Batsmen who can make loads of runs, Laxman is one of the few class players in the current cricket world. His 281 being rated as the best ever innings in the history of cricket by Wisden, it will be difficult to forget Laxman. And I request you to check the statistics. Laxman is one of the good close in fielders and made many spectacular catches.

Someone has confused your mind. You dont always have to be an allrounder to be a great test batsman. Lax is one of the best. agreed. He has not sometimes shown the same intensity as he does so well against the aussies. But, who doesnt have faults! cooldown Champ!

There are many ideas to criticize people by creating our own measures. Each team play many matches before the Final and those matches are also important. Who told that people must play only in Finals? If you remember Arvind Desilva played extra ordinary innings in Semi Final and Final of 1996 world cup. But you also need to remember the likes of Mahanama and Jaya Surya who did their part in the initial matches. Mohinder Amarnath was man of the finals in 1983 world cup but India went to finals by contrubutions from every one. Let us not try to make conclusions just on the basis of Finals.

This was reply to a fan claiming that Tendulkar doesn't perform in Tourney Finals.
It is wonderful thing that Yuvraj Singh considered SAURAV ( INDIA'S GAURAV ) GANGULY as his GURU and mentor , but I think Sachin Tendulkar has to take some tips from Yuvraj Singh regarding his batting, tackling pressures in key matches and for winning trophies onehandedly on only oneself, especially in finals without ducks, after playing more than 20 years in international cricket. Atleast for One Day Internationals, Sachin Tendulkar is not a necessity, but obstacle, especially through his massive ducks in semifinals and finals. Think about retirement after Sachin Tendulkar's retirement Mr. VVS Lakshman.

I think, you were not born when tendulkar started his career, google about tendulkar stats and talk.
Laxman is one of the most unassuming players , he may not be able to make his individual record as good as Sachin or Dravid, but his contribution to the team is quite the same.
Just like dada who was resposible for making Indian team ,force to reckon with by nurturing match winning talents like Yuvraj,Sehwag,Bhajji,Pathan,Zaheer..even Dhoni. Dada changed the face of Indian cricket...
however ungrateful Indians plotted against him and tried to humiliate him in all possible manners,,, but he was a real tiger & gave parting slap or kick on the ass of rascals like BCCI/ Vengy/Kiran More/Chappel...
Very very special Lucky man VVS Laxman please help New Zealand to frustrate aussies in their home grounds as u scored 281 extra ordinary run in kolkatta the citi of joy in yr 2001 so give tips to daniel vitori to screw pointing
