It an astonishinf Factor that Agarkar got 288 Wickets from just 191 Matches. It is better than other indian Bowlers, considering his Strike rate of Wickets. Now He is Completely Vanished From Indian Team !!!!

The following is the number of wickets per match taken by all Indian bowlers who have a tally of 200 or more wickets:

Anil Kumble - 1.24
J Srinath - 1.38
Ajit Agarkar - 1.51
Kapil Dev - 1.12
Zaheer Khan - 1.41
Harbhajan Singh - 1.12

It is clear that Agarkar is head and shoulders above the rest.

Added to that, he is a useful batsman and can come in handy at No.7 or 8 and score a few quick runs whether chasing or setting a target.

Since India is now playing lot of matches, there are always problems of fitness or non-performance with players like VRV Singh, Sreesanth, R P Singh, Zaheer Khan etc., and fast bowlers need to be preserved and nurtured, I see no reason why Agarkar should be kept out of the ODI squad.

Dhoni and Srikkanth may have to think.

YES, I AGREE WITH YOU MY FRIEND. MY OPENION IS TO BRING BACK AGARKAR INTO THE TEAM BY WHICH HE CAN BREAK AT LEAST KUMBLE'S HIGHEST WICKET TAKING IN ODI'S FOR INDIA, & IF HE CONTINUE BE INTO OUR TEAM THAN HE CAN BREAK AKRAM'S RECORD ALSO. MY WISHES ARE WITH HIM.
