does the master/ruler sharadPawar-ji have anything to do with this?
is it true that our team is really the best, but is `ordered` to lose or win, to suit the whims and fancies of the master-ruler, and their alleged links to the beting-mafia? is cong-center trying to keep us psychologically `happy`, till the elections are gone?
look at our history: whenever cong rules at center, bcci master-rulers are known close to the betting-mafia.
whenever non-cong govts are at center, our team wins NOT during elections, but on other days.

It’s good that al the young stars got their well deserve opportunity to prove themselves which they are doing very efficiently. It’s time for Sachin to take retirement from at least ODI. This will prove that he is a true patriot and also by doing this people of India keep high their respect towards Sachin. He can continue with test until some one better is not challenging him for the post.

We have to appreciate Saurav ganguly for bringing youngsters like Yuvraj,virendra sewag,Harbhajan,Zaheer Khan&Kaif.These are all stars&Match winners.Now ,before retirement he brought Murali Vijay.Whereas Sachin playing himself for years together dumping youngsters.

For your info these players made it to the Indian team because of their talent and skills and also due to the selectors who saw their potential & picked them & not because of Saurav's benevolence. Don't bash Sachin...he has always encouraged young players on the field.

I don't agree with u fully Stephen. It is Ganguly who make strong descisions in the selection panel to have these youngsters in the team rather based on the region. km vb u r right. Saurav is the man behind success of all these incl. Dhoni

Ganguly made selection decisions? Ganguly's captaincy though good is high overrated and some of the fans are going to the ridiculous extent of suggesting that Ganguly should be credited for the good performance of some of the players who made debut during Ganguly's time. If that is the case then Bedi should be credited for Kapil Dev's success and Srikanth should be credited for Sachin's success. Come on, have a break. Would you say the say the samething about many of the players tha were selected during Ganguly's time but could not last even couple of tests - by the same token Ganguly should be blamed for countless players who failed . Ex: Deep Das Gupta, Nehra, Balaji etc. Ganguly ceased to be captain for 3 years and has no hand in the success of the players .

ur first part is corect but not the later part. although it wasnt ganguly who selected those youngsters, but it was ganguly who backed them fully whenever they were given the chances. even vvs admitted that fact.
This Indian team is performing like Clive Loyed's WI or Stever Waugh's AU team. They are not aggression even if they are down with 3 for 30. They are still comfortably wining after posting close to 300 runs. It will be intersting to see if they can defend the low score. Do they have quality bowlers like champ WI / AU Teams? Time will tell. COnsistancy matters a lot. Lets see if they can produce same performance overseas chances are high that they will do it. It's drasctic change in Ind team. Old days we had only one or two players who were agrresive like Shrikanth / Kapil. Under Ganguly things started changing for good and today's Indian team is most capable team, unless media hype and money spoils it !
The knocks that scored by Yuvi,Sewag&Gambir are match winners.Whereas Sachin is not at all a match winner.His knock are very rarely reckoned as match winner.But sachin is highest scorer in ODI&TEST Matches.

dude, Sachin has played 18 yrs of cricket for India ... he hs won several matches single handedly, u cant remember now, tht too wth poor teammates .. how can u forget those sacrfices so easily .. giv the man , the RESPECT he deserves .. we r not entitled to question the integrity and spirit of the great man ... Well said. Don't you remember sharjah where he single handedly won the cup for India against big teams like Australia. There was a time when statistic showed that 99 out 100 times only when Sachin plays we won the match. Dude Pratap goback and do your homework before putting anything here

In the late 90's and early 2000 when sachin used to score heavily,none of the others in the team scored.As you know he was called one man army.When 10 people do not score in a team and only sachin score obviously we do not and did not win matches.Its wrong to call sachin not a match winner.He would have been if atleast we had a good match winning team duing that period.When a team like Australia wins its mostly out of team effort.But when a team like India wins its mostly of Individual effort.

to make it more clear to you. During the period from 1991-2008 (i.e. when sachin is there in the team), India won 15 out of 38 tournament finals they played. Sachin's record in those 15 matches are as follows:
Match played: 15 Innings Played : 15 Not Out : 4 Runs : 1099 Avg : 99.90 100s : 5 50s : 5
I think after this stats at least you will stop saying that he is not a match winner.
