Abu Dhabi: After his CBFS fund raising cricket fell to the allegations of match-fixing, Gulf tycoon Abdur Rehman Bukhatir is back in the limelight, and has invited top-level Pakistani officials in Dubai for his new Media city project on cricket. Bukhatir, who rose to fame with the CBFS cricket in Sharjah in early 1980s, also owns the Taj Entertainment Network (TEN) Sports channel. During the luncheon meeting Bukhatir will also press for television rights for his TV channel. Pakistan's four-year tv rights are up for sale and bids are likely to be open very soon. Bukhatir finds himself in a tight corner after the dispute with the BCCI on showing the unrecognised Indian Cricket League on his channel. Reliable sources said that the BCCI has warned the PCB not to consider Ten Sports bid for television rights in a retaliation for showing ICL on TEN Sports. Bukhatir is also said to have offered the ICC to broker a deal with the ICL.
BCCI has managed a coup of sorts..it has managed to ban indians from representing india..thats a breach of fundamental right..and where is the judiciary..as usual turning a blind eye to the power of money..

It was a an awesome show from Hydrabad Heroes n also Lahore Badshahs ....I don't how Lalith Modi (Chairman IPL)..said ICL lacked quality ..I don't know why the whole India had to listen to dogs like him who does not know what actually is cricket.This season's ICL was truely professional and many players in ICL like Binny and all showcased tremendous talent. Srilankan Board made a right decision by encouraging ICL players...But i don't know who is Indian Cricket Board to Overrule other league players ..Its a bitter truth that Indian Cricket Board is really worried about the funds they'll be receiving .. I don't think ICL players of such quality should be banned.Players like Dhoni and Tendulkar to stand and make Darna in front of BCCI in order to support ICL..

People who dont know have good knowledge make this comments. ICL is just about making money. Now they are going the WWE way by drama on ground just to cash in on the popularity. Nothing is legal about it. So its better you dont make such comments.

Onwhat basis u say ICL is illegagl and BCCI is legal. Both are private bodies. Govt of India never declared one is legal and other as illegal. Every cricketer has a right to represent the country based on his performance. BCCI is nobody to stop this. If every cricketer files a case against BCCI then BCCI has no place to defend themselves.

When did making cash become a problem and illegal? BCCI is making boat loads of it.
I am no fan of ICL, but basically BCCI banned it so no big named players can play in it and become a competition to it's own IPL. That my friend is squashing of competition and is illegal.
If they had established their own league before ICL and than banned folks to cross over into ICL, I can understand, but to tell folks if they play in ICL, they cannot represent the country is bull shit.

ICL rocks man...I am not too sure about some of the 3rd empire decisions though..Overall I wish ICL all the success..they came up with the concept and IPl stole it...Do nto abn ppl..everyone has a right to earn..

Yes. BCCI is the big bully stealing other peoples ideas and then not letting other cricket come up. I am sure there is tonne s of corruption money involved else they would not put down everything else like this
