It's now established a fact that the Aussies are nothing but punitive minnows when it comes to the display of character and a heart for cricket. They were the ones who brought in "un-warranted" aggression into this gentelman's game. And they were lucky to be winning...but only as long as other teams didnt counnter their aggression. Salutations to DADA (Sourav Ganguly) who revealed to the world cricket community that when the Aussies are treated in the same vein as they have been doing....they have turned to be the chipmunks of the game. Not only do they have to turn to unfair means to draw/win a game...but "everytime" its been a fair game, the Aussies have lost! Almost as if India were to defeat a new-comer team in cricket !!! Look at the margins and the consistency of defeat. Since Sydney, India beat the Aussies in straight numerous one-dayers and test matches as well; having lost none !! It proves the Aussies are a shallow lot....incapable of taking on challenges and attitude and (very consciously) having to revert to others means to compensate for their in-competencies in the game viz...blare-talk in the media, write a duck-book, point a couple of fingers at established legends et al. All they prove is their lack of character and complete absence of any spirit for sport. Their best bet is to play under the 16 ladies team. Maybe, their words and looks might do them some favors.

Absolutely in agreement with Soumitree. How can one say like that? People like Gavaskar, Akram, Ravi Shastri are continuously pointing out the biased decisions those are given in favour of Australian, English, SOuth African & Kiwi players by ICC & players from the sub continent teams are always at the receiving end. If Akram is commenting against Hayden he is talking on behalf of sub continent. We must encourage that to question of patriotism on this issue!!!!!!!
I am glad that perhaps Hayden's remarks has united all the Indians and Pakistanis from narrow level communal thinking of all the people of this sub continent including those most dangerous norrow mind of Regionalim preached by certain sections of people in Western India against her own Indians .Nearly 500 massages posted in this article of Akram in REDIFF FORUM.Finally I congratulate the greatest fast bowler of Pakistan Wasim Akram showing guts of telling India a super power in the world at least we have not heard from their politicians since 1947 .It is sad that except Bhaji ,no Indian players condemn Hayden's remarks .Congrats Bhaji

Beta don't get excited. Akram is a smart guy who knows which side of the bread is buttered and he knows how Indians are prone to flattery. A little bit of India's defense in a moment like this and what he gets - free publicity, media coverage, television chat shows expert commentators roles, live television commentator in some channel and heck - even a few endorsements like diabetes control and who knows what others. So please don't be under the impression that he is doing what he is doing out of love for India. Remember he was also an accused in match fixing and his own team members had revolted against him. He's a great fast bowler but no saint or India lover.

what ahs his being accused in the 'match-fixing' got to do with him not supporting india at such a discriminatory slur? even azhar/ jadeja were accused- so they dont love india too? dude...look at the political colors of world cricket...akram's comments were very valid!

man, NEWS FLASH- the things u mentioned ads, endorsements etc....... akram already has that and never forget that it was akram who taught our bowlers irfan and zaheer the art of swing bowling and reverse swing and akram had been consistent with his support to indian cricket in the past so broaden ur horizons and WAKE UP!!!!!!!!
A blogger Banikumaran has written message about Sikhs please read it:-
"barani j kumaran on Nov 15, 2008 02:39 PM You stupid who told that we hate them. Infact they are our pets. Making jokes doesnot mean that we hate them. we can make pranks only on our friends not on somebody else"
He is referring to Sikhs as pets. he is comparing them to animals. This is the respect some people hv for the brave and patriotic sikh community. Shame on u Banikumaran. Try these jokes on muslims they will show u ur true place, then u will become a pet dog urself. Sikhs r a small minority community so dont try to insult them.

There are more than one meaning for the word 'Pet'. Please check: pet 1 /pɛt/ noun, adjective, verb, pet⋅ted, pet⋅ting. –noun 1. any domesticated or tamed animal that is kept as a companion and cared for affectionately. 2. a person especially cherished or indulged; favorite: He was the teacher's pet. 3. a thing particularly cherished. –adjective 4. kept or treated as a pet: a pet lamb. 5. especially cherished or indulged, as a child or other person. 6. favorite; most preferred: a pet theory. 7. showing fondness or affection: to address someone with pet words. Thanks.

good to see some guys still have the brains to not jump to conclusions and lash out...
this has been our undoing the whole time... we are still called third world because we relish blaming our brothers for nothing and trying to take revenge upon them...
mr. surjeet, i must say i am relieved to see your post....

in trying to defenc one community - let us not defame any other community. wat this 'banikumara' wrote was the result of an undeuctaed ignorant fool - let's not spread the virus by maligning any other community by the use of surnames pls!

this kumaran guy was reacting to a blogger JV's comments who is rightly mentioning that bhajji has been ignored by the media just because of his community. This kumaran started insulting the sikh community as a whole. This is not acceptable.
I will request to some people like kumaran to stop considering sikhs as their friends, as sikhs are not amused by their jokes. Sikhs dont want friends who joke on them and insult them. Aise doston se to dushman bhalle.
