WHAT IS AUSTRALIA?
by Mohammed Ashrafful on Nov 14, 2008 10:02 PM  | Hide replies

I had been in Australia for 1.5 yrs. What is Australia by the way? It is a thirld world country with a first world life style. In science, technology and innovation does it command any respect? Is it even remotely comparable to US, UK, Germany and Japan?

Australia survives only because it has huge reserve of raw materials. But they do not have technology to transfer those into finished product. Average australians are completely dumb. It is a fact

No need to make a hype
by Ujjawal Verma on Nov 14, 2008 05:44 PM

There is no need to make a hype of what Hayden said. Actually, he didn't know the meaning of Third World (may be his history is too weak or he is not educated at all). Its all related to international politics of the past. Actually, he wanted to say Third Rate country and why shouldn't he. To save his and his teammates face he ought to say something. So he told this. But, at the core of his heart he knows quite well that he was a super flop in the series. Can anyone ask hayden how often did he get a chance to get the sight screen adjusted, as he didn't last long on the crease. Sorry for him, even he cant find a good quality excuse to say in his country.

Hayden should learn from hussey and lee
by aniruddh vale on Nov 14, 2008 05:21 PM  | Hide replies

I think hayden should learn from hussey and brett lee because not only are they great players but they are also true gentlemen. I have never seen them getting into such ugly tactics. I think they are the best in the australian team currently but are never appreciated in their own team because of their team mates arrogant attitudes. It's unfair to call the whole australian team as dogs. These two are wonderful human beings who always concentrates on the task given to them and are contributing a lot to australian cricket

Some one should tell Hayden that most Aussies are poor losers. And now he also qualifies. Having run out of excuses, he has, as is the norm with Losers, started slandering the same Country from where he earns a major part of his money. Back in Australia they would not bother giving a spent force such huge sums of cash. They simply do not have that kind of money in a "First World Exile Jail".
If i remember right, Australia was the place where all convicted and useless persons were sent to, on a one way free ticket.
The sad part is that we in India, have a major part of our population who can just about afford a meal a day, and many who cannot, yet we have such money to waste on these spent, self opioniated, lowly laggards and losers. So that we can watch a few games of Cricket.
Think about it !!

This was once said by Kenyan(or Zimb.) President also. But in india, not even retired cricketers react sharply against such arrogant and foolish remarks of aussie cricketers.

Third world
by Stupid BC on Nov 14, 2008 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

By definition India is a third world country. Hayden didn't need to say it but it is true. India has numerous wealthy and highly skilled individuals (including cricketers on both counts) but also has a large percentage of the population living on or below the poverty line with no or limited access to decent levels of education or healthcare.

Of course Hayden will gladly take the IPL cash - who wouldn't. For all those who think that kicking him will diminish his finances substantially need to think again. $375k is handy money but would be no more than 20% of his earnings at best. Hayden owns substantial amounts of property in Queensland and has substantial advertising income in Australia and of course a CA contract. Compared to Tendulkar or Dhoni he is a pauper but then again most cricketers are.

Australia does not have such poor people since they mass-murdered adivasis (aborogines), because Australia as deported convict colony. This is history written by Europeans .

You are right Stupid
BC when you say
Hayden didn't need to say it but it is true.
After all, what's the point in calling monkey a monkey.

Hayden was lucky if in spite of his poor form he could still find some time to stay at the crease and get the screen adjusted. At least their team didn't lose due to some dubious umpiring decisions; the way India lost the series in Australia.

However, this third world country has the richest Board of control for the game that Hayden plays.

Some history of these terms - The first World was defined as Western world, The Second World as Communist world and "Third Word" all the non-aligned countries - China, Japan, India and others.
There is no association of "Third rate" with "Third world". That evolved.
What Hayden meant was that India was a "Third rate" country.
India sure is "Third World". I am not sure that if it is "Third rate" or not.
Australia for sure is racist backwaters of trash like Hayden. These criminals and prostitutes were flung from Britain and still have such low self-respect that they consider British queen as their monarch.
These also wiped out the indigenous population of Australia.
And.. these tiny bunch of 20M people have nerve to insult India.
Ah.. I wait for the Third World War. A lot of countries in Asia are fed up with Australia.

So u can continue to be in your dreamland Mr. NRI living in USA for a looooooooooooong time while we will work hard and see that the likes of you never dare to call us a third world couuntry. Shame on those who forget their roots.

I really dont mind it as long as I know that i have done my bit. so let it be for my kids. atleast i can proudly say that i did it for the next generation. Believe me if the earlier generations did not have the attitude, u and i would not be living in a free world. n most importantly u would not have been an NRI and I would not have been a citizen of free India. Let it be third world, but still an independent country to call my own

What USA after 60 years of indpendence? They were fighting civil war with guns, US colonisers practically killed and wiped out red-indians, bought and sold african slaves, knowingly dropped h-bomb over civilians in Japan. If you are so fond of objective discussion why do exhibit selective amnesia?
