Re: Comments of outcasts should not be given so much importance!!!

There is nothing wrong with the way Australia plays the game.
The exact quote does not seem so bad. He was trying to justify the overrate by says it often happens they have to wait for the movement of sightscreens that he feels happens more in the "third world" countries due to lack of technology. I dont know if that was an accurate excuse for justifying the overrate, but its true that movement of sightscreens cause delays and it seems to happen more in India for whatever reason (somehow commuication between umpires and sight screen movers happen to be much poorer here). Maybe it was unecessary to refer to "Third world", but its being blown up as this headline to attract us to click this link and vent our frustrations in this discussion board :-) But it annoys me that there is so much reaction so much without trying to get the real story - and hence my comments!

Thanks shankar. I wish more people would get to the root of such matters like you did. rediff may want to sell it's site, but in some more serious instances, it would have been better if good sense had prevailed. sangeeta

achcha bola shankar R...lets not spare all who give comments at a whisker. But lets all also look into our mistakes and rectify the. Can anybody now guarantee that no sidescreen delays will happen in india from now? India is progressing at a very rapid pace in one way. I totally agree. But we should look towards the otherside of the coin also. Is it not? no doubt we should all be united in condemning the remarks of Hayden? But we should also in our part assure that no side delays happen in the future. Is it not?

The BCCI has a lot of money there muxt be away to move sigtscreens faster. Hayden has made a good point.
BCCI should take this matter seriouly when one calls India as a 3rd world country. BCCI should write to ICC and dismiss Hayden from playing any international circket from here on wards. When gambir was given a test ban by ICC why not the ICC dismiss Hayden for horting the nations satus. This should call for a war against Australia In actual. England is in India and had been in Inda for a series. They havent complained about the nation. I sinerely appeal the BCCI and ICC to kick Hayden from International circket.
Chennai super kings should kick him out..this man should not be allowed to represent any indian state team for IPL....this is much more than we can take
I totally agree with what people have to say about the australians. They are the worst behaved people I have ever come across. Mr Hayden is India a 3rd world country. Fine. If India is a 3rd world country then what is Australia????????? Australia is not the 1st world country either. Just because they are white skin, the australians think they are superior to the others. Well Team Australia "U HAVE A LOT TO LEARN". 1 of them is learn some sportsman spirit if you all can. Dont try to put down India or any other country just because you guys lost a series. If you look down on a country then a time will come where the whole world will look down on you so called austrailans. AUSTRALIA U SUCK BIG TIME.
Australia has habit to react like this, and that is reason why they do not have respect in international cricket, even though they won 3 world cups.... shame on Australian cricket team. Indian team is the only in world, which has potential toi beat Australia easily. Mr Hayden start preparing yourself again and then come out with some good comments, we will welcome that. You know sometimes i like harbhajan's behaviour on Australia....actually now i feels like they deserve to be treat like that....poor world champions.....
Can't believe these aussies - classic white colonial mentality - they still live in the dark ages. Bad mouth and call us names (coolie, third world, curry munchers..etc etc) but at the same time plunder and exploit the very nation that you are bad mouthing. If the IPL has any backbone, they should not hire him. it happens here in the NFL/NBA.. there are many players that don't get picked for "lack" of character.. Same with Gilly and Ponting and Symonds. I think we have enough talent in the world that you can pick and choose the right players with integrity and character.
Ponting is the biggest loser i've ever come across in sports - period. The guy never owns up any responsibility and the minute somebody says something against him he either runs to the umpire or spats off in the press.
If you ask the immigrants about their experience in Australia, i am sure we'll know which is the true "third" world country in terms of respecting people - i am done..

Hayden did not use any of racist terms you have quoted. He said sight board movement is slow in India.

And australia is a first world country with all uncivilized , racist, un-professional, childish, short tempared poeple. Ask your team mates not to come to a third world country to make amount of money in a third world country that they can not make even in a year in their first world countrly.

I would not be calling other people racist after the racist indian crowds and players efforts last season. You need to pay attention to the plank in your own eye.

if we are a 3rd world country. Then what are you? U australians suck big time. If you consider urselves to be from a 1st world, then howcome there are uncivilized people living in ur so called 1st world country. U guys need to learn a lot. Stop pointing out the mistakes in other countries when there are more mistakes in u australians.
