Pontings Captaincy
by snehashis BASU on Nov 11, 2008 03:29 PM

Ricky is the most selfish captain in the world as he is placing himself about Australian cricket as he didnt attack India after India were 166 / 6 at Tea on Fourth Day. He wanted to save his punishment of one test match ban .For his selfishness Ponting should be banned for 10 test matches

Chappels are fraud
by Crick fan on Nov 11, 2008 01:52 PM  | Hide replies

Greg Chappel asking his younger brother to bowl slow under arm bowl against New Zealand when they needed 5 of last ball. Where was to fairness of cricket then? What position was Ian Chappel feilding then? If I screw up its OK? But if I am done its foul. I enjoyed his agony and hope he Aussies are rubbed this way more often, after all it is there own invented medicine.

Greg is nothing but a old senseless fool just trying to earn some cheap fame out of criticising Indians. A barking dog seldom bites.

Ass_ies crying

Sahab rote kyoon ho ? Nahin shakl hi aisee hai.
This is what has become as a permanent feature of the faces of the Australians whether cricketers or ex caps or media. They were too happy to use lousy tactics to win at any cost, repeat, at any cost. But now that some young talent has floored them with within the rules tactics they have started crying. They need a milk bottle in their mouth without milk. they thought that they are invincible forever.

Ponting Selfish
by Crick fan on Nov 11, 2008 01:47 PM

Ponting looked stupid yesterday after tea. He was so worried about the over rate that he wanted to fix the over rate & make sure he completes the over quota before the day. In fact he did not try to get Indians out after tea as he was keen to complete the overs. Or say he made sure Indians did not get all out before he saves his skin. If Indians got out whom will he be bowling the rest of overs? Very rarest of thoughts from any cricketing captain. Many captains would have lot of ridiculous things so far. But this seems easily amongst the worst if not the worst.

Field Placements
by Harpreet on Nov 11, 2008 01:35 PM

Looks like the Australians can't be beaten fairly by any team or that is what they like to think. First the slow-down tactics then the negative bowling and now to top it all the 8/1 field placement. A must win mentality is fine but if it comes with a bad loser tag then it takes the glitter away. Has Ian forgotten the time when the Auzi speedsters were at their peak, Dennis Lellie and Jeff Thompson or the formidable West Indian pacers Holding and Roberts and the big bird Joel Garner. At that time their captains employed 5 slips and a couple of Gullies. Now add that to a Wicket Keeper and a bowler and you arrrive at the number of Dhoni's off side field placement. Also, when such field settings are placed they are for a specific strategy. I am sure Chappell does not want us to believe that at the time when their great ultra fast bowlers were bowling , they were bowling full tosses and half volleys to the batsmen. Goes without saying that it was the short stuff or the bodyline unplayable type intimidating diliveries. The fact is that the Auzis have lost champion players in the very recent past, potential match winners, and their replacement is difficult if not impossible.

Chappel cricket has two sides
by Srihari Belur on Nov 11, 2008 01:25 PM

Ian stop crying when Oz lost. How many times before have you urged or wanted this rule to be evaluated--NONE. Stop finding fault with the rules now. The rule is common to both the teams.Just becos MSD was more imaginative that your RICKY , you are crying foul.Is this the first time that you guys understood these rule having played cricket for so many years!!!learn to accept that others too have come up in this game and you want a change. HOW ABOUT A RULE THAT NO ONE SHOULD WIN AGAINST AUSSIES????
