Lack of Consistency in Indian Cricket...
by D goel on Nov 09, 2008 02:47 PM

pkl. D. Goel,afternoon, 2.40pm,November 9, 2008,Sunday.
Whatever eventually happens to the fate of present Indo-Australia Cricket Test Series ,after day and half play,, till sun down on Monday 10th, it is proved more than once that our much hyped batting has its inevitably a fairly recognizable penchant for cracking down at some point as it did , just about half an hour ago. Now we are risking loss of this test Match unless our tail -enders stick it out and do leave enough runs on the board to let Australians stop making the requisite runs tomorrow to win this match and thus draw the
series 1-1.If latter happens this will be a great disappointment to cricket mad Indians, and once again reveal our infinite capacity to pull defeat from the jaws of Victory! D. Goel

Indian Plan
by Gandhi on Nov 09, 2008 01:50 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni made them go at a pace they would have hated to go at. You can feel the frustration on the Aussies at this question. This will have long term effect on them when they play us.
All said and done they will struggle to chase 350 plus score in the last innings. Very sure Dhoni will keep them guessing and wishing.

Refreshing
by Nilesh sawant on Nov 09, 2008 01:34 PM

Yesterday was fascinating day of test cricket for Indian points of view and the reason being India had some specific strategy to go about and Aussis just succumb to it.
In the past also we came with strategy but actual exercise of it we never seen. It always look like we were just depend upon the brilliance of few players for things to happen.
Finally all I can see is refreshing change in Indian test cricket.

Learn to respect small successes to be successful
by arul m on Nov 09, 2008 01:25 PM

If we win the series against aussies, our critics and media, will say, it is on helpful home wickets

If we do it in perth, then it is because aussies were distracted by sydney criticisms

If we thrash srilanka in one-day series on home and away, then we should say, WE LOST THE TESTS

If we win the CB series, then you will say,WE LOST THE TEST BY 2-1 MARGIN

If aussie beat india in australia, it is because of talent, not due to the pitches to suit their strengths, if india beats aussies in india, it is due to flat wickets

Cynical People, only country where its people never accept country's achievements in any field

Lets win the series

Action speaks louder than words.. if a same tactic was employed by ponting and they had gotten the lead, it would have been great thinking.. lets forget it.. it was a strategy.. even Aussies had 7-2 field.. and india scored at more than 5 per over to begin with..

All said and done.. 1-0 or 2-0.. lets win the series.. talks dont win any series.. walk does..

Win In Foreign Soils
by Shyama Sreenath on Nov 09, 2008 12:16 PM  | Hide replies

The new look Indian team sans Fab 4 needs to win foreign pitches of New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan (Bangladesh excluded) and West Indies to be called a top notch team. The present team which is playing exceedingly well against the Aussies back home here were soundly thrashed by Sri Lanka recently. So this victory need not be gloated at all

So which victory you will gloat about, if we play on the moon???

Australia could do it because of presence of extra-ordinary players, see what happened to them after retirement.

India trashed lanka in one dayers, so do not belittle this victory and spoil the party.

Learn to be happy with every success, otherwise life will cease to be a celabration
