bouncer dance, run out dramas, misfield jokes, Dropped catches drama, Acting dives, Green top run aways,"WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH THIS TOUGH RUNS AWAY" snail dance scores, Zimbabwian sixers, big scores against minnows in WC funniest hooks, and skiers. We miss all that fun.
Robin Uthappa man of the series of challeger trophy is not in this list.. Sachin ia also dropped(he is not rested) chairman of selector srikanth from tamil nadu is favouring tamilian m vijay
Perfect. The selectors have selected the best one day squad. It is a positive and forward looking step that will help build a world cup winning team in 2011.It would have been better if they had picked the same team for all the seven matches.
congrajulation selectors.....because the exclusion of sreesanth.....now he is concentrating in dancing and spin bowling.......sreesanth is shame for all the malayalees and indians........congrajulation selectors for the inclusion of yousuf pathan............. irfan pathan is a right choice for R P SING.. i think in kerala in a local mathch in the previus week sreesanth and his team failed the mathc due to his spin bowling and acting as an opener...........please comment
I cud see a lot of ppl abusing srikanth and vijay in this forum.....you can only say if a person is worhty to be selected based on his performance...let him play and then judge...why do u just jump on him?havent we put up with lot of baseless northie players selected in the team like kanitkar, agarkar etc....when someone like sujith somasundar was selected for the oneday team, there is nothing wrong in selecting this chap....did we criticise when sachin was first drafted into the team...we wait and watch ,not like you bad mouthing ppl...this shows we southies are more balanced and mentally stable....cheers...

lets first get it right...whocis from where
sujith somasundar played from karanatka ..isn't it?
agarkar and kanitkar are from west
agarkar was wayward..sometimes ...but he is one of the most successful ODI bowlers ...india has seen. if you go by stat he is better odi player even compared to someone like wasim akram ... i know stats dont tell the full story..but they still they matter...

Agarkar averaged 17.94 with the bat which was higher than what Wasim Bhai averaged 16.52.
Both their strike rate were around 88(which is damm good)
Wasim Bhai took 1.41 wickets an odi. Agarkar took 1.51 wickets an ODI(since they played so many odis, this is significant)
Wasim bhai never took 6 or more wickets in an ODI , but Agarkar did. And that too against the mighty ozzies.
Wasim bhai shaked in his boots when facing the ozzies but Agarkar gave it back to the ozzies.
These stats clearly prove that agarkar is better than akram as an ODI layer. Agarkar took more wickets per ODI than Akram and scored more runs an ODI than Akram..

Hey for your kind info.. Sujith Somasundar was a prolific run scorer in the domestic season.. And he deserved a chance.. Its a different matter altogether that he dint perform.. But everyone deserves a chance.. Dont pick on individiuals.. Somasundar faced the best bowling attack on his debut.. Dont you think it was a bit harsh.. Dint he deserve a few more chances..?
1. Sehwag 2. Gambir 3. Raina 4. Yuvraj 5. Rohit 6. Y Pathan / Kohli 7. Dhoni 8. Harbajan 9. Zaheer 10. Ishant 11. Munaf / Praveen / RP (3 of these 5 pacers can be rotated giving ample rest to other 2 pace bowlers considering we have test coming up.
(I prefer to give YK Pathan longer stint to see if he can be an effective finisher in slog overs combined with Dhoni. Pathan might fail in a few games considering the late position he will come to bat where he will have to go str8 after the bowling from ball one, but i believe given ample time he can turn out to be a very effective batsmen and finisher in future if we give him enough time to establish without criticising every single failure. He can be a usefull part time off spinner too along with Sehwag).

Having said my opinion, now rest of the cricket illiterate Indian fans can fire away and talk out of their you know what (a r s e) instead of their mouths.
Keep it coming boys with your irrational arguments and regional sentiments as to who should be in your 11.
Allan Border is impressed with Vijay: "His defensive shots are so assured. And he looks comfortable of both front and back foot. And when he attacks, he doesn't go hard at the deliveries. I can see why this young man is playing."
