Aussies Belive in Cheating!
by Ravi krishnan on Nov 05, 2008 01:33 PM  | Hide replies

Australia,no doubt, have always been talented and play their game the hard way. But they just cannot play in the spirit of cricket or any game for that matter. Gilchrist is now on an accusing spree targeting mainly the asian cricketeers. But why is not talking about the 'underarm' bowling by his 'so called illustrious' compatriots? Why is not talking about the sledging part the credit for which the australians are the sole applicants? Why is he not talking about Dennis Lille's intimidating tactics to get batsman out? Why is he not talking about Ponting's high handedness in the Sydney test?
The fact is winning a game is less important than winning it gracefully and losing a game crying foul id less important than losing a game gracefully. Let me tell you if the aussies lose this series they will blame everything from pitches, bad hotels, bad food, poor travel etc etc. They are just a bunch of kangaroos ( Pun intended) who will look splendid when they jump but will blame everything in the world when they land on their backside!

Hmmmm. I think it's bit early to form opinion. Remember, all of us are reacting to the reportes in indian media. No wonder they are choosing the parts of the book, which suits them to report. Before we conclude about gilchrist, it is right know about the complete book and not the only parts which indian media is highlighting to us

Gilcrist said that he is retiring from test cricket because he felt that he was not performing well in Syndney test. Its NOT TRUE.Because after that series he has to go to Pakistan to play a test series , which he want to miss to play in IPL so that he can earn more MONEY.This guy is an I-D-I-O-T.

When he was there in the team all were abusing him all of sudden he is a fighter.

I dont know why in India people are praised after death or retirement and during their presense they are abused..

Now all of sudden no one talks about olympics champions and sadly no one is posting messages about anand who won the world champioshio

now u decide..who is not interested in other sports

GOVT OR US??

Re: 10 wickets?
by anand matlani on Nov 04, 2008 06:09 PM
That is actually true. half of the wickets were gifted by an Indian umpire.. and the international umpire hardly gave any outs. Infact Kunble had to change sides to bowl from the Indian umpire's side. But anyways 10 wickets is a great achievement.

But the fact is Shane Warne could not get 10 wickets even though Bucknor was there to help him all day!!!

This is all rubbish. Check the facts before u bring down someone's performance. 3 were LBWs and all plumb. Afridi's snick was doubtful because he made a big face when he got out. Others were either caught or they were bowled.
Just because the umpire was Indian (remember that was the rule...one local and the other side neutral - Bucknor) doesn't mean the wickets were awarded to Kumble. By that token, India should have won many home matches with Indian umpire helping the bowlers.

You are absolutely right. Afridi was the only doubtful decision. Even, Saqlain had put a big face after he was given out (Was clearly out) Just because batsman expresses huge surprise, the decision won't become doubtful
