Its fortunate that we had a person like Anil Kumble to look upto, over the years we have seen him and learnt what it means to be a graceful person, what it means to remain spirited against all odds, what it means to play for the country for 18 long years and meaning it !
Thank you for being such an inspiration and very best wishes for the future. Perhaps, we need ppl like Anil in a bigger arena, where he can make a difference to people at large and society in general. Obama's win hearlds a new era in its own way, its time we have people who can make a difference and stand up and get counted.
I think you carried yourself very well. No loose talk, no unwanted/unwarrented remarks against the opponents, you showed great character which needs to be appreciated.
In one of the marathi magazine which wrote that Anil kumble was criticized by Indian captain who made debut. Similarly commentator who made wrong comments saying he cannot bowl.. Both of these guys are no where close to kumble
Was nice to watch the felicitation of the current Indian greats led by Anil ,Sachin,VVS n Dada .
But what is strange to note is the omission of Rahul Dravid among the honour list.
The event would have recieved its due had Rahul also been among the honour list because he for all of us Indians is truly the greatest among the present lot.
The probs with Indians is they never the value of precious thngs under theire procession..they just try 2 see negative side of it and appreciate forign thng Indians must change this attitude Please dont look at the Black spot on the moon... We indian never appreciate our guys heartily... Look at the respect by Australians.. Dean Jones went to the extent saying wish he was australian
