Aussies never get banned?
by aj on Nov 03, 2008 10:06 AM

Ever wondered why any of the Aussie players has never been banned. They always provoke others to commit mistakes and they roam around free as if they are saints.

ICC is in favor of Australia and has always been.

In legal terms, a culprit is acquitted free of any charges, if it is proved that he was provoked by someone to commit the crime. Why isnt the same law applied in cricket????

Damn the Australian team!

Aussies play controversies
by Crick fan on Nov 02, 2008 12:48 AM

Most of the controversies crop up when playing against Australia. Their player know how to use this channel well. They target opposition player who is likly to do good against them, they pull him into controversies. The beauty of this work is, they get it done with minimum effort and prise. ( Watson getting 10% and Gambhir 65% and one match ban, Symond got warning and Harbajjan Ban for 2 matches, Symond escaped attention and Ishant lost match fee) Hence forth when ever playing Australia the first condition should be no nonsence They and the match referies got to told clearly that we will not tolrate any non-sence, and any stupidity if generated will be delt with high punishment. It has been seen that Indian have tried to ignore any ill doings by Aussies and Aussie's and including their captain runs to report to umpires and referies any incedent of opposition despite their own inisitation.
How many times Aussies have escaped with out accountability? The incedents can be innumerable, only thing is they were down played by Indians and got away. Indians - Players media and commentators should target Ponting, Hussey, Clark, and Watson and see how they disintegrate. I know the concept of disintegraing opposition is no sports man 's job. But you are playing not playing gentlemen in Aussies but they are bandits. Some one told them a pack of wild dogs not far ago.

There was a time when Bombay group impacted so much that they could play limp Bombaite for a good Delhi player. The list of such players is long. One time they preferred to have Gulam parkar for Mohinder Amarnath.
Suru Nayak,
Gulamparker,
Allen Sipi
Bhutule

Ok, but what about the guy who is at the root of things. Watson used half a dozen of B's and F's and provoked Gambhir. What would yo recommend for him?

I'd recommend a match fee fine and, if repeated offences of the same type occur, then the ICC would need to look at match bans. To my knowledge, Shane Watson has not previously been found guilty of such an offense.

Gambhir on the other hand, has. And there's no provision or excuse that can be made in the ICC Code of Conduct or the laws of cricket for making deliberate physical contact with another player or umpire within the game. Gambhir's done it twice now and was lucky to get off with the light judgement that he did. Gambhir's ban has nothing to do with whether he was provoked or not, it has nothing to do with his opponents - it has to do with a talented cricketer that has now repeatedly been found guilty of breaching the rules and spirit of the game.

Indians cannot manage the PRESS bit AT ALL
by Taposh Misra on Nov 01, 2008 05:44 PM  | Hide replies

What Gambhir did was foolish. But Shane Watson was smart. But what Indians lack is making thr right noises at the right places. Australians are street smart and miles ahead especially when they are down. Like last match the raised it during the post day press conference over Zaheers behaviour and forced the match rfree to take a look and punish him. The same thing was done by Watson to Harbhajan & Zaheer in the first test when they got out after a long partnership. But no one raised this during the post day press conference and make the match refree take notice. We are crying about it now. Why? Lets get smart and ask the player who attends the press and raise all such issues in ground about them and not be good hosts in Indian style. It is not required. This is one thing which is lacking from this Indian team.rest all is fine as we are fighting fire with fire. SO MORAL OF THE STORY; RAISE EVERY BIT OF SLEDGING OF AUSSIES AT THE END OF DAY PRESS CONFERENCE AND DO NOT HIDE IT.

What is role of Rajeev Shukla in Indian cricket. Does he not pick any wrong doing of Aussies? Is he not our media manager? This guy is just enjoying buffet dinners and that is his contributation.

Was match refree sleeping when Andrew Symonds hit a streaker at Gabba in Australia??
Was that streaker not a human being??

Human being? - yes. Player or umpire? - no. So there's no reason to refer to match referee for breach of ICC Code of Conduct or laws of cricket. Potential criminal assault charges against Symonds were not pursued by the streaker in question, following that match.

Learn how the game is played and what the rules are, Vikas, and stop stirring with irrelevant rubbish.
