Can any cricketer play more than 118 tests and NOT score Ten thousand Plus runs? Can any one check the record book of WISDEN or any other to know this please? OR is it implied that ANYONE playing that many tests will AUTOMATICALLY score ten thousand plus runs? Throw some light here folks:)

If the cricketer is a bowler and has played more than 118 Tests, then there is a good chance that he didn't score more than 10,000.

Dilip vengsarkar must be lowest scoring batsmen who have played more than 100 tests and scored about 6,000 runs only ... I dont remember the exact stats... but he has played more than 105 tests and not scored even 7000 runs ... that too being No.3 batsmen all through out his career. I think he was one of those Mumbai jugaadu player ... who managed to get the captaincy of the country ... and man his captaincy was horrible anyone can check his record.

although i consder vensarkar a fine batsman, considering the bowlers he played against; he got the captaincy by backstabbing. before 1987 world-cup semi final against england; bcci decided to ratain kapil as captain if india reaches final. the news leaked, dilip had a timely stomach disorder, chandrakant pundit took his place; and india lost chasing 255 with kapil playing a loan hand. that elevated dilip to captainship.

Graeme Smith, Peterson, We may also see Sangakara, Mahela, Michael Clarke* ... all these guys have sound technique and have lot of time ... question of fitness will be there in future because matches will increase as ICC is trying to find way to insert more 20-20 matches in the schedule... this might hamper the test players record.... lets c

Rahul Dravid is a Marathi guy, whose parents settled in B'Lore for professional reasons. His wife Vijeta Pendharkar is also a Marathi.
Although I feel all the 3 Marathi guys out here belong to the whole of India instead of any specific region.
It means there are only Autralians and Indians who plays cricket for their countries rest all players from other countries plays for money and when they get it they exit.....

and when ppl bark about selfishness they tend to forget that Lara was the man who deprived the wI of a win against England coz he carried on to play till he got 400 runs.and they also forget the way Lara dumped his team in 1995 and 1998 for contract (money) issues.
