IPL and BCCI is run by beggars and poor farmers. The police and the govt should not harass them. They should try to get the wine and other food items and be happy.
They are getting huge revenues and paying the players something to the tune of 5 million dollars plus the tv adds being showcased if u have mney for that then why not pay the tax too..the scenario of cost for policing exists in European club football too where the clubs pay for additional policing for every game so i guess bcci and the franchise owners are rich enough to pay this and they dont need exemption ... if exemption is needed please provide tax exemptions for the poor not these rich corporates
Knowing the police in India I think that the police not only took the liquor and the shirts and also got in their friends and relatives free of cost to the IPL .Simple question how many matches has the SSP seen at Mohali ? Has he ever bought a ticket ? How many times has he enjoyed the hospitality of the organizers and other well to do [ersons . In India it is common for the police to demand freebies and when they don't get them they turn nasty and petty in turn Haridas

police is corrupt everywhere, but it does not mean free services should be provided to profit making sports bodies.
IPL is short form for Indian Profiteers' League. What for should they get any exemption when they are wasting so much electricity in a pweor-deficit country? Govt should huge taxes on them and use that money to subsidise petrol and diesel, LPG, etc....
"Mean and Lowly Person" What else can you expect from a man like Ness Wadia who is the grandson of the founder of Pakistan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. Wonder how we allowed the Wadia family to stay behind in India.
