It can't get any better. really good opportunity for the people to teach a lesson to the so called caretakers of the game in India. Hope the people would not fall pray to such a looting and do not buy tickets and instead watch on TV... even better is nobody watches it on TV either...
I have always been against the IPL Tamasha, and have been surprised by its success. My calculations which have been proven wrong of course, told me that this tournament would have to be wound up midway. That has not happened, but this latest act of BCCI and Ambani might just make the Mumbaikars realise that they are being taken for a ride. Emty stadium might make the semis more watchable on TV. So far, I have not been able to muster enough courage to watch one complete over, though I have tried many times.
just don't come to watch semis.it's a real waste.it's not india-aus match.it's not world cup semi or final match.i would be very very happy if only 20-30% seats get filled. To all middle class mumbaikars it would be a real waste of money on just an IPL SEMI FINAL AND FINAL MATCH.it's just an IPL,whats the big deal in it.and that too in a deteriorated, deteriorating, and always deteriorating stadium.

Bhaskar Khemchandani.i m not against RR.i think they deserved semis birth even they deserved to go in the final.but the point is why is there need to spend so so so much for semis or final match.the franchises and board need to be taught a lesson.mumbaikars showed lots of patience at the time ICC champions trophy 2006.when only 10-20% of the stadium were filled becoz of very high price, then why not this time.i m sure other stadium would be filled with only 30-40% with these price

it's a rule made at the time of bidding that whichever franchises buy the team with highest price, that franchises' home venue will host semis and final.
IPL wont care if people like us say its too costly. In our metros we have enuough 'status minded people' who will pay any amount to brag about their 'been there' status. Mark my words. These stands will be full on the day with corporate bookings. Meanwhile those of cribbing about the high price tickets, lets assemble in front of a 21 inch TV and enjoy.
this sharaad pawar and the congressi background people are all shittyy. The have ruined the country....... By organizing such expensive tournaments and earning money he is doing no good.....chaval aur dal is highly priced ....who will take tickets for 6000 and even if ppl take.....we are rooting a wrong culture.....our country will be affected by this in long run

If you can't afford the tickets, watch on tv or watch a ranji match. It is simple economics, more the demand more the price. Anyway Modi and company have to make money so that they can hold it again for us next year and twice a year from 2011
We were a group of 10 gonna come to watch the second semi-final in Bombay but after seeing the 1500 rs ticket being sold for 6000, we just booked a family room in Daman with 42 inch plasma & gonna party there. I hope the stadium remains empty, serves them right..

Stadium may remain empty but those who made money with Rs. 250 tickets sold at 2000 have pocketed the loot. all pawar chamchas. It is like betting.

Grapes are sour, NA ? Anyways me and 24 of my friend are going to be there. And there will be many more fools like us who already have a 43 inch plasma TV, so we'd rather watch it live than think about making the TV companies richer.
Watching a match @ Wankhede stadium is like travelling in a 2nd class local...
However the only good part is watching from North stands...the crowd is amazing...yuvi;s complaint notwithstanding...the atmosphere is electric aka anfield...
north stand is the Kop of wankehede...alas only if the infra was better...
More than the commercial aspect and its success in IPL, BCCI should formulate a plan where everytime in acrunch situation, any legendary player like warne, hussey, jayasuriya offers their advice to young inexperienced indian players - it should be documented or recorded after the match so that when India plays big fellows - such vital info can be used to know their psyche and techniques.

Why should they do Junta service. Cricket is their proffesion and why should they give out their secrets. If the BCCi gives them money for sharing their secrets we will all start crying that cricketers are making too much money.
