AUSSIES NOT PAID
by arun khanna on May 20, 2008 02:17 PM

THE IPL SHOULD ENSURE THAT THE AUSSIES WHO ARE NOT PAID AS IS BEING SSAID,SHOULD BE PAID OFF IMMEDIATELY. AS THE BCCI IS ALREADY BEING HEALOUSLY WATCHED AND SIGLED OUT FOR CRITICISM BY THE OTHER CRICKET BOARDS ESPECIALLY CA. HIS WILL GIVE THEM ADDITIONAL FUEL TO FIRE THE BCCI.

THE BCCI MUST SEE THAT THE FRANCHISEE OWNERS COUGH UP THE MONEY AND PAY NOT ONLY THE AUSSIES BUT ALL WHO THEY BID FIR AND WHO PLAYED FOR THEIR FRANCHISES. THIS IS IN ALL FAIRNESS IF WE WANT THE IPL TO BE A SUCCESSFUL LEAGUE FORMAT.

WE BELIEVE THAT THE IPL IS A BRAINWAVE CONJURED UP BY THE BCCI AND WILL HELP INDIAN CRICKET IN A BIG WAY IN THE YEARS TO COME IF IT IS STREAMLINED BY THE TIME THE NEXT VERSION COMES ALONG.

WELL DONE BCCI

PAST RECORD SPEAKS

NEW DELHI: The Indian Cricket Board boasts of being the richest body in the game but has not paid its players for the last seven months.

Team India members did not get their payment since the Champions Trophy in October last year. Since then, the cricketers toured South Africa, played home series against West Indies and Sri Lanka before flying to the West Indies for the World Cup without being paid.

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla sought to play it down and said arrears would be cleared once the contracts are signed by the cricketers.

"The payments were not made because the contracts were not ready. Once the contracts are signed, everything will be cleared. This is not a problem at all," he said.

Incidentally, the players are reportedly unhappy with the present shape of the contract and doubts have been raised whether they would sign it before leaving for the Bangladesh tour.

This is, however, not the first occasion when the cash-rich board delayed payments.

Former team physio Andrew Leipus and even the then coach John Wright faced similar treatment from the board.

Symonds is a big cheat !
by Truth on May 19, 2008 11:49 AM

-
Andrew Symonds fooled IPL franchisee owners by sending out wrong signals that he will be available for the entire IPL series.

That is the reason why he got 1.35 million dollars! Bloody cheat!

Hyderabad team must not pay his salary and he must be kicked out of IPL for telling lies.

Indian companies
by Meri Suno on May 19, 2008 11:38 AM

Indian vendors know very well how clients act when it comes to releasing payments. Reliance and other big names are known to withhold dues and harass vendors moving their files from person to person.
They havent improved.

by biswanath roy on May 19, 2008 10:26 AM

it is reported that aussie players ponting, lee, hussey, symonds & katich have not been paid by IPL. Similarly N.Z players vettori, mccullum, taylor, oram have also not been paid.all these players have gone back for playing for their national sides.why do you think sharad pawar is seeing most of the matches it is because"unka hisaab IPL ne abhi tak nahi kiya hai" pehle unka hisaab hoga phir players ka.

no big deal...what are the aussies afraid of,they just want to lament the image of Indian Cricket, scared they are from the success of IPL,they players who went had been contracted for the series, they went midway,it does not mean that they shall be paid immediately....the series is still on.....thay will be paid by the end of the series.unnecessary making a cry,and the Indian media,as usual jumping to highlight the issue!
