Dravid vs Charu vs Mallaya
by Shyam on May 14, 2008 08:51 PM

We are all know Dravid is a world class player and Charu is equally good in orgnaising and so is Mallaya an established enterprenur. But Mallaya forgot one thing. It is sports and only one side can win always. It has absolutely nothing to do with business managment. It is not Dravid or Charu who lost the charm, only Mallaya because of his unwanted blast. Let him go back to bottling!!!

When will Bangalore team will get rid of Mallya
by on May 14, 2008 01:33 PM

This mail is in response to the statement given as headline in Times Of India on May 14,2008.

I have below question for Vijay Mallya.
1. He is the one who choose Misbah. Even after including him for 3 matches he could not score more than 30 runs. So who should be held responsible for this now ?
2. Even after sacking Charu from CEO post, did anything changed ? we still lost all the matches.
3. What is the contribution of Mallya in inspiring the team apart from getting all the glamourous people on the field. He should learn how to inspire
team even in worst condition from Sharukh Khan. He has genuine and unconditional support for his team whether they win or lose. Love shown by him to the team is exceptionally appreciative.

I really pity our Bangalore team for getting crushed under hire and fire strategy of Vijay Mallya whose main intention is to promote his beverage business.Being the responsible citizen, I will always have second thought in promoting Royal Challenges as I know I am indirectly promoting a brand of liquor.

This is my sincere request to Mallya, Please stop giving headline statement to get the cheap publicity. It does not suit you.

Regards
Smitha

What s missing?????
by bhupesh rai on May 14, 2008 09:33 AM  | Hide replies

banglore team is having a bunch of star players but still they are suffering.....
Zaheer - Among the top wicket takers in tournament but he is not getting support from batsmen
Kallis : A fiery batsman but not at all clicking
Jaffer : have shown good temperament in one inning but failed to perform again
Virat Kohli : he is a very good batsman and captain of india under 19 team, he likes to play fast but failing to take his inning forward
Camroon white: Best T20 player ranked but didnt played a good nock

So all we can say that there is lack of
1)Commitment
2)Confidence
3)Team spirit
4)Communication between players

What they need is a win that also a big win to boost up their moral..............
Lets hope for the best

you geezers won't know sarcasm if it bit you in the a$$. Sunil Joshi, huh, obviously he is being sarcastic. He is Dravid's friend hence in the team. Dravid thought that this was a timepass and he can have some bonding time with childhood friends. Mallya knows different, he means business and care only about the result, the bottom line and not about how Bangaloreans and Dravid fans are 'feeling'.

Mallya believes in soberty before playing a match....which is wrong!

Provide them with adequate dope and booze....u can see the difference!

Just for all Cricket fans...pl dont get disappointed by RCB's performance...such freaking team are required for morale boosting wins to the opponents!

Include a new rule to help test match guys like dravid..
by Sulpha on May 13, 2008 09:21 PM  | Hide replies

Just include a new rule that for every 3 balls a batsman faces he has to score a 4 or a six, else he has to go out and sit so that others get a chance....when the rest of the players who did not get a chance to play fail, then the first guys gets the second chance..and this repeats...

If you have really followed RCB....Dravid is the highest scorer with strike rate above 115...

The team is not clicking because nobody are applying themselves....U need a motivator in the team which I doubt Dravid it...

Mallya can take initiative by providing dope and booze before the match!

What is more motivating!...Hic!

what a similarity !!!
by Sweet on May 13, 2008 07:36 PM  | Hide replies

Performance of BRC is similar to Bangalore's way of functioning:

1.Messed up government, messed up management of BRC
2.Messed up traffic, messed up batting
3.Ill planned city, ill planned bowling attack
4.Stray dog menace, unfit player menace
5.Infrastructure mess up, fielding goof-ups
6.Controversial name (Bangalore or Bengaluru), controversial name of BRC (Mallya's drink)

No wonder RBC team belongs to Bangalore! What a similarity!!

- A non-Bangalorean

Some Bagaloreans (youth) may have some eccentric behaviour. Especially the adolescents and those in early 20s. But the people in general are very warm and easy going. It is famous across the Globe for IT. Why can't we see something good about Bengaluru or Kolkata or Mumbai or Hyderabad or Delhi or Chennai instead of criticising them based on our regional allegiance? I've seen in many channels here as to how Kolkata is full of beggars and how that land should be made a land of Christ and this and that. We are not foreigners to keep talking low about our own Country, Cities and Citizens. Wake up guys. And stop criticizing our own Motherland for the sake of it.

Once again wrong - The people in general are no longer warm and friendly. Now even they have gotten this eccentric behavior.

They are one big bigoted bunch of fuuls

Kroor Singh,

I understand your frustration, you and your family have moved to that wretched city long time back thinking its paradise and upon the slow revelation of its reality you naturally gettin pissed off.

However you have also shown your city's manners which was evident during the 1991 Riots and the recent communal violence. There is no doubt you are a certified resident of Bangalore.

It won't take me a min for me to call you sob, bas, MF, asol, etc. (eventhough the right thing for you to say would be "Infact I doubt you belong to the human race!")

Just because you said you doubt I belong to my parents, don't think I will come with a DNA certificate to prove whom I belong to because I care a damn to such filthy insects like you.

You words "bcos the day u r traced....." shows how your own people behave to outsiders. I am atleast happy to know that you agree "Govt is messed up" because for people in Bangalore, even if there is no food, water and shelter "Bangalore still Rocks!"

I need not recommend God to bless u, coz you seem to have a confirmed 1st class ticket via Kingfisher Airlines to Hell

Bangalore has its own share of good stuff too.

When you point a finger at others, please remember that a few of your own fingers point at you. Have you wondered about the mess that is in your city? Or, are you living in Heaven?

In response to what can be termed juvenile bitching, one must remember the following facts.

1. Messed up Govt.
The reason we had a messed up government is largely because outsiders who have migrated to our state and gained domicile, refuse to vote.

2. Points 2, 3 and 5 are the same. You were obviously using a thesaurus. The reasons we have infrastructure problems is because Bangalore is and was never meant to grow this big. Bangalore is for Bangaloreans, so unless you're from the state, you don't have the right to complain. Given it's a free country and all that jazz but we really don't need or want you here.

3. Stray dogs are a menace. I agree. We're working on a plan to get rid of them. You're first on the list!

4. The PIL about the teams name was filed by a certain Mr. Krishan Kumar Aggarwal (a non Bangalorean). So again the person kicking up the controversy was an attention mongering idiot.
Bangaloreans are largely unconcerned what our city is called, so we see no need for you to be all worried.

And there was no need to sign off as a non Bangalorean. Bangaloreans are not whiners and we carry ourselves with a lot of dignity, which is something I can't quite say about people like you. Trust me, we know the kind.

So don't complain, and if you insist on doing so, bugger off to whichever hell hole you're from.

Cheers!

Hello nameless typical Bangalorean.

According to you (and all typical minded bangaloreans):

1.All problems in Bangalore due to infrastructure goof-ups is because of outsiders.
2.Government failure is because of outsiders.
3.BRC failure in IPL is because of outsiders
4.Infrastructure facilities, Traffic mismanagement and Ill planned City are Synonyms in a Bangalorean's Thesaurus.
5.Stray dog menace is due to outsiders
6.If someone complains about stray dogs, they become a stray dog!
7.Bangaloreans think they live in Switzerland during rainy season and Las Vegas during summer
8.Bangaloreans think they see outsiders only because there are no job opportunities in their places (hey, why didn't the whole country shift to Bangalore?! - Intellectuals from Bangalore are doing research on this I guess)
9.When they see rich businessmen in Bangalore, it means there are no rich people found anywhere else in the country
10.India is progressing today only because "Bangalore is Happenening" (Where? you mean the traffic jams and the chaos?)
11.For a Bangalorean, it is the whole world and there is nothing once you exit the Bangalore limits.
12.Bangalore is the number 1 city (call it big town) in India
13.Bangalore Police is next only to Scotland yard police, which also means all other police in the country are uneducated fools
14.If someone is talking the real situation in Bangalore (even in websites), they are definitely an outsider inside Bangalore.
15.An outsider in Bang

I would like to commend on this :-

It really doesnt matter, whether your are from bangalore or outsider. Genuine problems always remains.

1. Not only KA government, it is similar case with all the states government. India need drastic change in plotics.

2. Infrastructure is worst beacuse of outsiders. Outsiders dont come with intentions to spoil Bangalore Infra. Just because of these outsiders and IT companies, Bangalore is recognised globally. Somehow, i dont understand the meaning of "outsider" ? is this something that to go bangalore you have to take VISA. No, it is one of the Indian cities and we all are Indians. Not only Bangalorean needs to realise this, but nationaly we all need to understand its one nation but divided in to 28 states because of development and betterment.

3.Stary dogs are menace anywhere in India.

4.If IPL Banagalore team collapsed today, its not because of any individual. Because its human nature, if something goes wrong, blame others. I am sure before auction Mallaya, Dravid and Charu must had extensive discussion about every step towards IPL. Now today team failed, all of these are retaining their position and stage throwing blames on other.

Common, its sports, even watch with a sports spirit. Only 4 teams can make it to semi-finals and one will win the tournament.

Unfortunately Banaglore is not the one !! as simple as that.

Lets have discussions not arguments.

Take care -
Indian
